City To Host Annual Homeownership Workshop
The City of Tampa’s Hous- ing & Community Develop- ment Division, in partnership with HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agencies will host its Annual Homeownership Workshop. The event will take place on Saturday, June 1st, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The event will be held at Barksdale Active Older Adult Center, 1801 North Lincoln Av- enue, and is open to the public. The theme for the event this year is, “Dare to Own the Dream of Homeowner- ship.”

Housing & Community Devel- opment Manager said, “Home- ownership is more than just the American Dream it is a key to improving schools, housing affordability, wealth building, neighborhood stabilization and economic development. We hope that families will come learn what is possible when you ‘Dare to Own the Dream.’”
The event will showcase local HUD-approved housing counseling agencies, mortgage lenders, and affordable hous- ing builders and developers.
Sessions will be provided to cover budgeting, down pay- ment assistance programs, credit/mortgage loan products, and Fair Housing. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit properties that are for sale within the City of Tampa.
