This week, Drake showed off his new private jet, but this is not a private jet like any other.
Drake’s new jet is im- mense. A converted 767-200 freighter, it’s pretty much a
flying mansion. The 32-year old ‘Trophies’ star has proudly shown off his latest purchase to his 57 million followers on Instagram as the finishing touches are applied in the paint shop.
THE CAST OF EMPIRE
Empire is gone, maybe. Deadline reports that after five seasons of twists, turns and trysts, the Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson-led series will be bowing out after its upcom-
ing sixth season.
“We are turning the final
season into a large TV event, we are trying to go out guns a blazing,” Fox CEO Charlie Collier said of what will be Empire’s final season. “You allow fans to lean in and have the ending they deserve.”
And no, Fox has no plans whatsoever to involve em- battled actor Jussie Smol- lett in any future episodes as the show rides off into the sunset. But thanks for ask- ing.
“There’s an option to have Jussie in the series but we have no plans for that,” he
said. Which sounds a lot like when you break up with your girlfriend, but aren’t quite ready to post memes about inner strength and moving on on Instagram.
Empire serves as the lat- est show on the network to get the axe. But more specif- ically, it’s the latest featuring a black lead.
This announcement of Em- pire’s demise comes on the heels of Fox pulling the plug on the Damon Wayans helmed-Lethal Weapon, Lil’ Rel Howery’s Rel, Russell Hornsby’s Proven Inno- cent, Lee Daniels’ Star and David Alan Grier’s The Cool Kids, denoting a trou- bling trend at the network.
But Collier insists that unlike other rival networks, diversity will remain a prior- ity at Fox.

Missy Elliot made history on Saturday. The pioneering producer, songwriter, singer, and rapper became the first hip-hop artist to receive an honorary degree from Berklee College of Music, the nation’s elite music conserva- tory. In her remarks accept- ing the honor, Elliot spoke of some of the trials and tribu- lations she’s faced navigating the music industry through- out the years. However, she left the graduating students with a message of hope. “There will be ups and downs — prepare for that, but don’t give up,” she said. “As long as you are breathing, it is never too late. Don’t forget that. You have come too far to quit.”
In their remarks honoring Elliot, Berklee heralded the five-time Grammy Award-
