AIKENS
MR. PRESTON KEARSE, SR.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Preston Kearse, Sr. of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on, Saturday, November 2, 2019 will be held Saturday, November 16th, 2:30 p. m. at Tampa First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 822 W. Linebaugh Ave., Pastor Brad Cassell, officiating. The in- terment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Preston was born November 20, 1960 to the late Eddie Gaskin and Dolly Kearse in Ft. Myers, Florida. He attended Tampa First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gar- dening and playing with his baby girl “Tasha,” his pet dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his pre- cious memories with: his loving wife, Mary Starks Kearse; chil- dren, Shannon Fuller of Ft. Myers, Florida, Preston, Jr. (Danielle), Christopher Single- tary (Marlana) of Tampa, Teresa Kearse (Joseph) of Tampa, and Beverly Brooks of Brundidge, Al- abama; grandchildren, Nevaeh Crosby, Virgil Thompson, Cor-re- anna Burden, Sharahje Fuller, Shalin Fuller and Jordyn Wright; brothers, Eddie, Earl (Barbara), Thorris (Shirley) and Robert Kearse (Gearldine), Charles (Faye), Terry, Ethan and Leon Gaskin; sisters, Doris Wilson (Marcus), Gloria Johnson, Geor- gia Kearse, Lorraine G. MRS. RENE ELIZABETH WILLIAMS ‘SNOOK’
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Rene Elizabeth Williams “Snook” of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Wednesday, No- vember 6, 2019, will be held Satur- day, November 16th, 2 p. m.. at Allen Temple AME Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames, pastor officiating. The in- terment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rene was born April 22, 1964 in Tampa, Florida. She loved being around family. She enjoyed read- ing the Bible, cleaning, dancing and listening to music. She was very loving and helpful. She was a Teacher’s Aide at Foster Elemen- tary School.
She was preceded in death by: her father, James Lee Perry; granddaughter, Harmony Williams; brothers, Jimmy Lee Perry and Arthur Green; sister, Sarah Perry; nephew, Marlow Fa- vors; and mother-in-law, Josephine Williams.

MOTHER FREDESSA MERCHANN LAMAR ‘TRACY’
A Homegoing Celebration for Mother Fredessa Merchann Lamar “Tracy,” of Tampa, Florida, who passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019, will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 11 a. m. at The Cen- ter for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Avenue, Apostle Mark T. Jones, Pastor; Rev. Eric Bostick, officiat- ing. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mother Fredessa Merchann Lamar, better known as Tracy, was born to the late Albert Lamar and Rebecca Elizabeth Lancaster, Fri- day, July 9, 1948, in Tampa, Florida. Tracy was educated in the school systems of Cleveland, Ohio and Tampa, Florida. She was a graduate of George S. Middleton Senior High, Hillsborough County School in the class of 1967. Tracy further matriculated at the great Bethune-Cookman College. Tracy was a woman of many talents, one of her many gifts was that of an artist. Many of her paintings were distributed in Cleveland, Ohio.
Tracy’s kindness and willing- ness were beyond measure. God al- lowed Tracy the honor to become the mother of two remarkable sons, the grandmother of two amazing grandsons and one in- credible daughter -in-love, all of whom she cherished and loved deeply. A Mother’s love lasts for- ever, but God’s love is through all eternity.
She was employed by The City of Tampa for more than twenty years. Later, she became an em- ployee of the United States Postal Service and retired after thirty-two years of service.
Mother Tracy accepted Christ
as her Savior at an early age, she was baptized and full of the Holy Ghost in the Pentecostal faith. Tracy was a member of New St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church; she later became a mem- ber of Heritage Christian Commu- nity Baptist Church, under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. Delores James Cain. Tracy also became a part of the Mothers Ministry, and served faithfully until her health would no longer allow her to attend services. It was always her heart’s desire to be able to walk back into her church services again.
Mother Tracy was preceded in death by: her father, Albert Lamar; mother, Rebecca Elisabeth Davis; stepfather, Willie James Davis; aunt, Essie R. Lancaster; cousins, Charlene Lancaster and Marvin Lancaster III.
Those left to celebrate her life and to mourn her demise are: her most loving, caring and wonderful sons, Marcellus Lebron Davis and Larry Gray (Alana); grandsons, Jackson and Logan Gray and Luiz Martinez; brothers, Leroy Davis (Shannon) and Harvey Davis (Terri); sisters, Venetta Jefferson and Claudette Furst; nephews, Harvey D. Davis, William Jeffer- son, Randolph Jefferson, Robert Hayden, Lucas Parker, Benyata Davis, JaMarcus Lucas, and Matthew Belnavis; nieces; very de- voted niece, Doretha Belnavis, Marilyn Jefferson, Robin Hayden Wright, Andrea Jefferson, Shenna Bain (Ron), and Gabrielle Belnavis; uncle; Henry Lancaster (Erma); cousins, Marvin Lancaster, Sr. (Sharon), Doris Barnum (Joel), Maxine Durant, Wanda Green (Ernest), Gaynell Cooper, and Michael Lancaster (Sandra); god- son, Tyric McCord; sister/best friend, Rogena Glean; and many other family members and very special friends, including: Chandra Williams, Linda Mungin, the Smart Family, the Mothers Ministry of Heritage Christian Community Baptist Church, United States Postal Workers, and all of the lives she touched.

A Homegoing Celebration for Rev. Thomas J. Weeks, Sr. of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, will be held on Saturday, Novem- ber 16th, 11 a. m. at First M. B. Church of Highland Pines, 4711 E. 21st Avenue, Rev. Cleveland Lane, Pastor; Bishop Adrian Weeks, of- ficiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery.
Rev. Thomas Jefferson Weeks was born on June 13, 1940, to the late Clifford and Iola Weeks in Providence, Florida. He attended the public school system in Union County. At the age of 23, Rev. Weeks was drafted into the United States Army and later at the age of 25 married Minnie P. Broome.
He was born again at an early age and joined St. John Mission- ary Baptist Church. He served as an Assistant Pastor at New Mount Temple Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Hagan. Later, Rev. Weeks founded Northbay Missionary Baptist Church, served as Pastor for 22 years.
Rev. Thomas Weeks was pre- ceded in death by: his siblings, Joseph and Dennis Weeks, John- nie Mae Godbolt, Bertha Maxwell, Lee Esther Harris, Mamie Curry, Monroe Weeks, Cleveland Weeks, Margaret Godbolt and Shedrick Perry.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ories with: a devoted wife, Minnie Pearl Weeks; one son, Thomas J. Weeks, Jr.; one daughter, Yvette Denise Carr (Steven) of Dou- glasville, GA.; three grandchil- dren, Mia A’Niece Carr, Ashley Latoya Weeks and Demetrie Alan Weeks (Jerykah) of Vilseck, Ger- many; four great grandchildren, King D. Stanley, Kyro D. Carr, Ka’Liyah L. Stanley and Ashton Ruffin; siblings, Gertie L. Walker and Clifford McArthur Weeks; sis- ters-in-law, Rutha Mae Weeks, Katie Mae Weeks and Annie Mae Weeks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
