Shooting On I-75 Leaves 2 Men Dead
Arrest Made In Fatal Parking Lot Shooting
Murder Suspect Denied Request To Switch Attorneys

A Hillsborough County Judge denied a murder sus- pect’s request to change attor- neys. He is accused of fatally wounding another man on De- cember 31, 2018.
Joseph Erwin Brown
was arrested in Atlanta in Feb- ruary 2019 and returned to Tampa. He was charged with first-degree murder and pos- session of a firearm.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Isaiah Lee Mor- rison was found inside a car at 13415 N. Nebraska Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m., on December 31, 2018.
Morrison was suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to Tampa General Hospital. He later died as a re- sult of his injuries.
During the investigation, detectives identified 26-year- old Joseph Erwin Brown, as the suspect in the murder. He was arrested and returned to Tampa.
On Monday, Brown told Hillsborough County Judge Laura Ward that he and his public defender, Attorney Jamie Kane, didn’t see eye- to-eye. He said Attorney Kane refused to file a “stand your ground” motion on his be- half, called him names, and said he would lose the trial.
Attorney Kane denied calling Brown names and said he never called him a liar.
Judge Ward denied Brown’s request for a new at- torney to handle his murder case.
RAPHAEL ADGER 10/31/1986 — 5/25/2020
A 27-year-old Tampa man has been arrested and charged with the fatal shoot- ing of another man in an apartment complex parking lot on May 25th.
Rakeem Harris is facing a first-degree murder charge. He was arrested on July 2nd on violation charges and was held without bond. The mur- der charge was filed against him after that arrest.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, Raphael Adger died on May 25th, after being shot three times.

enue, around 9:30 p.m. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Adger suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives believe that a traffic accident that took place near the scene is connected with the murder. The occu- pants of the dark blue Nissan Sentra fled the scene before police arrived.
According to reports, Adger attended King High School. He entered into the workforce and became an en- trepreneur selling CDs and worked at temporary job agencies.
CRAIG WILSON LEE ....Witness Being Sought
Early last Thursday, Florida Highway Patrol re- sponded to reports of a shoot- ing on the southbound I-75 and Martin Luther King, Jr., exit ramp. When the troopers arrived, they discovered two dead men inside a white Nis- san sedan. Both men, who have not been identified, had been shot.
During their investigation, troopers said they believe two other men were inside the car, but fled the scene. The men, who are considered witnesses are Craig Wilson Lee, (aka Skeet) and Terrance, Mc- Dowell, (aka T-Man), both
Shooting Lot Lands
A 21-year-old man has been arrested and is facing several charges. He is accused of discharging a gun in a parking lot on July 13th.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place in the parking lof of the Gold Mine Pawn, 1302 S. 78th Street.
After the incident, police reviewed surveillance video that captured the suspect shooting in the parking lot. The bullets struck two occu- pied cars and a TECO substa- tion.
During the investigation, detectives were able to iden- tify the suspect as Jarrod Isiah Mingo. He was found at a local where detectives be- lieve he had been living. He was taken into custody with- out incident.

Witnesses told police that the suspects who were shoot- ing at the four men were driv- ing a white Jeep Wrangler.

Mingo has been charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, 2 counts of shooting at, within, or into a vehicle, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief of more than $1,000, and trespass or larceny with relation to a util- ity.
No one was injured dur- ing the incident, police said.
