MRS. FLORENCE BASSETT DARIAS
Mrs. Florence Bassett Darias of Tampa passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020.
Mrs. Darias was well known for her work in the community and her commitment to helping others. She spent over 20 years working for Schlitz Brewing Company as one of the first African American Execu- tive Secretaries. Mrs. Darias worked hand-in-hand with Share FL for more than 20 years, feeding hundreds of families.
She was a graduate of Middle- ton High School. Mrs. Darias dedi- cated her time to the School System working with the PTSA at Middle-
ton High School and volunteering at a host of other schools.
She was a dedicated member of Greater Bethel M. B. Church.
Mrs. Darias was preceded in death by: her mother, Janie Bas- sett; sister, Jewel Bassett; broth- ers, Charles Bassett and Herbert Charles Bassett.
She leaves to cherish her mo- mory: her sister, Sarah Whitting- ton; children, Evelio (Elaine) Cliatt, Sr., D’Andre Cliatt, Colious Bassett, Herbert Bassett, Ansel Cli- att, Patricia Cliatt, John Britt, Robert Dowling, Jill Deleon, Julie Wood, Jack Watts, Leaford Shakes, Tianja Wilson; grandchil- dren, Shawn Cliatt, Evelio Cliatt, Jr., Antuan Davis, Barry Keaton, Florence Davis, Ieisha (Cliatt) Hamlet, Aquan Hamlet, Destiny Martin, Shauntay Cliatt, Ansel Cli- att, II, Christopher Cliatt, Lashawn, Lectoria, Tanisha Cliatt, Deidra, Ava Hamlet, Sakiyah, An- taun, Lareul, Jaselle, Amaia, Ray- nah, Kaliyah, Miracle; and a host of great and great-great-grandchil- dren.
