  Tampa Bay Pastor Designated To Become A National Bishop
 Dr. Jeffery Alex James Johnson is the Sen- ior Pastor of Connections Community Church of Tampa and Lake Wales, Florida.
Born and raised in Jack- sonville, FL, Johnson was a local childhood minister who began his public ministry at the age of 12, and his pastoral journey at the age of 19 in Lake Wales, FL through the Church of God. He then moved to the Tampa Bay Area in 2004 to continue full-time ministry at 34th Street Church of God pastor- ing with Bishop Thomas Scott.
Academically and semi- nary trained, Dr. Johnson attended Warner University and St. Thomas Christian University, where he com- pleted a Bachelor of Arts,
Master of Ministry and Mas- ter of Theology, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree. He completed course work for a Doctor or Ministry Degree from Anderson University.
An urban spiritual pro- gressive, Dr. Johnson has a heart for developing pastors, community empowerment, and childhood education. Dr. Johnson is a former episcopate of the United Covenant Churches of Christ and now is a founding mem- ber of the Kingdom Interna- tional Consortium, headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. He currently serves as an Executive Council Member, Chief Community Officer, and the Florida State Dioce- san for the fellowship.

Johnson is married to Mrs. Teasia Johnson and father to Jeffery, Josiah, and Jonah Johnson. Civi- cally, he’s a board member of the East Tampa CAC, board member of the American Heart Association and Lutheran Services Florida. He also ran a triumphant race in 2020 for School Board District 7 county wide.
He is set to be conse- crated as a bishop in a na- tional gathering during the summer of 2022.
