Family Members Charged With Operating Grow House
Armed Bank Robbery Suspect Being Sought
Detectives with the Tampa Police Department are searching for a man who robbed a bank at gunpoint. The robbery took place Wednesday evening.
According to police, the man entered the TD Bank, 5201 N. Lois Avenue, around 4:12 p.m. He pulled a hand- gun and demanded money. He fled the scene with an un- determined amount of cash on foot.
He was last seen wearing a hoodie, goggles, and a mask. He is approximately 6’4” and was wearing a green camouflage jacket.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested three family members last week and charged them with oper- ating a grow house. Deputies executed four search war- rants and discovered three of the residences were operat- ing as grow houses.
The four homes at 8912 Westbay B1, 5914 Birchwood Dr., 13716 Old Farm Dr., and 8222 Drycreek Drive were all

searched. The homes had also used a total of $21,402.70 in stolen electric- ity.
Police said Ms. Maritza Rodon, 60, (mother); Ramon Fernandez Fer- nandez, 66, (father); and Ariel Fernandez, 41, (their adult son); were arrested without incident and charged with trafficking in marijuana, cultivation of marijuana,
grand theft of electricity, traf- ficking and possession of drug paraphernalia, and renting, owning, or leasing property for the purpose of trafficking.
Detectives also recovered a high point 9 mm semi-au- tomatic weapon and 370 marijuana plants, weighing a combined 539 pounds. The marijuana had a street value of $1,079,280, police said.

Armed Men Rob Target Store
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for two men in con- nection with an armed rob- bery. The robbery took place on July 22nd, at the Target Store, 6295 W. Waters Av- enue.
According to police, the men entered the store shortly before 11 p.m. and demanded money from the employees. They took the money and left the store in an older model white Honda Civic with dark tinted windows.
One of the suspects is a Black man with a light com- plexion. He was between 5’10” and 6’ tall, weighs about 170 pounds, and was wearing a black mask on his face.
The nationality of the sec- ond man is not known. He was about 5’10” to 6’ tall, weighs about 150 pounds,

and was wearing a scream mask on his face.

Elderly Resident Shoots, Kills Intruder
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a home invasion that left a 33-year-old man dead.
According to police, the death investiga- tion is underway at 5436 Deeson Road, in Lakeland. The elderly homeowners, who po- lice have not identified, were in the residence when they heard someone in the house.
The elderly man shot the intruder, who died at the scene. He has been identified as 33-year-old Shane DeShane. No addi- tional information about the shooting was available at press time.

Man Arrested After Stabbing 3 People During Robbery
A 49-year-old man was ar- rested after he reportedly stabbed a woman while trying to take her purse. He is ac- cused of stabbing two other people who attempted to help the woman.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Ms. Rosanna Lynn, 44, was sit- ting in her vehicle at the Pub- lix, 7880 113th Street, in Seminole, Sunday.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m., a man approached Ms. Lynn, opened the car door and reached over her to grab her purse. Ms. Lynn began to struggle and the suspect, iden- tified as Bobby Martin Wat- son, of St. Petersburg, reportedly stabbed her in the stomach and once in he left thigh.

A Good Samaritan, identi- fied as 44-year-old Christo- pher McMann, observed what was going on and came to help Ms. Lynn. Watson allegedly stabbed him one time in the upper back.
Watson then fled the scene and 31-year-old Travis Jones, another Good Samar-
itan, began chasing Watson on foot. McMann and Jones tackled Watson in the park- ing lot and Jones was also stabbed in the abdomen dur- ing the struggle.
Donald Rush, 40, ob- served what was going on and was able to disarm Watson by holding him at gunpoint until police arrived.
Ms. Lynn, McMann, and Jones were all trans- ported to Bayfront Medical Center with non-life threaten- ing injuries.
Watson was medically cleared and then transported to the Pinellas County Jail. He was charged with armed rob- bery and three counts of ag- gravated battery with a deadly weapon causing great bodily harm.
