Airman Completes Basic Military Training
Community Food Pantry
Lucy Friend, President of St. Vincent de Paul St. Joseph, invites residents in zip code area 33607 to come to its Community Food Pantry. The agency is celebrating the partnership of Feed America to stop hunger in 33607 and surrounding area.
St. Vincent de Paul St. Joseph was established as a non-profit 501c in October 2016 to serve the 33607 Community. With the help of Feed America the group can now feed many in need of food.
The agency is also an outreach to provide assistance in 33607 with electric, water, and rent when funds are available.
All people are welcome; clients are asked to provide a name.
The Food Pantry is located at: St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3012 W. Cherry St., Tampa 33607, 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month (rain or shine), 10 a. m. - 11 a. m., 813-877-5729.
Donations are welcome, and the program is open to volunteers and to people needing commu- nity service hours.
A young adult with ties to the Tampa Bay Area has met all requirements and gradu- ated from basic military training in the U. S. Air Force. Airman Shantiese N. Moses participated in her graduation ceremony at the Joint Base San Antonio- Lackland, in San Antonio, Texas.
Airman Moses com- pleted an intensive, eight- week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. She also earned four credits towards an Associate in Applied Science degree through the Community Col- lege of the Air Force.

Airman Moses is the daughter of Heinsworth Moses and Erica Raines, of Tampa. She is also the sis- ter of Jahliek Moses.
Airman Moses gradu- ated from Bloomingdale High School in 2016.

‘Naturals Night Out’
On Sunday, July 16th at The Inkwell Centre, Natu- rals from Tampa Bay came to- gether for the 4th Edition of ‘Naturals Night Out.’
‘Naturals Night Out’ con- sists of Paint, Sip, and Chat. It’s an evening designed for naturals to unwind, share laughs and positive vibes over wine or beverages, painting, and chatting about natural hair concerns and trends. (Photos by Toby Scott)
