In his much-anticipated re- turn to "Saturday Night Live" after 35 years, Eddie Murphy brought back three of his most popular charac- ters after being joined on stage during the opening monologue by Dave Chap- pelle, Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock and Kenan Thompson.
Noting that more than three decades after he left the show that made him famous, heisnowafatherof10and Bill Cosby is serving time for sexual assault.
"Who's America's dad now?" he said.
"I have 10 kids now," Murphy said. "Eleven if you count Kevin Hart."
Rock told Murphy, "I wouldn't miss this for the world. My kids love Lizzo."
Lizzo, who was recently nominated for eight Grammy Awards, was the night's mu- sical guest.
Chapelle surveyed the talents next to him and said, "Alright, now you’re looking at half of Netflix's budget right here on stage."

Eddie Murphy made a crack on 'SNL' at Bill Cosby's expense -- and the incarcer- ated comedian didn't appreci- ate it one bit ... with his rep calling Murphy a "Slave" to Tinseltown.
Cosby's rep, Andrew Wyatt, posted a scathing re- sponse Sunday to Eddie's joke -- and it's pretty brutal. Wyatt, speaking on behalf of Bill, writes ... "Mr. Cosby be- came the first Black to win an Emmy for his role in I Spy and Mr. Cosby broke color barri- ers in the Entertainment In- dustry, so that Blacks like Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappell, Kevin Hart and et al., could have an opportu- nity to showcase their talents for many generations to come."

Chris Brown, 30, is the sweetest doting dad! The “Run It” singer shared an adorable photo of him and his newborn son Aeko Catori Brown napping on his chest on Sun- day, Dec. 22.
The baby was looking holi- day-ready in a sweet white- and-green striped sleeper as he slept alongside his sleepy dad! Like any new parent, Chris apparently needed to catch up on some shut eye himself as he peacefully dozed keeping both hands protec-
tively on his son. The two seemed to be lying down on a bed — evident by the pretty gray feather print sheets be- hind them — as Chris’ black LA Dodgers hat covered his closed eyes.
Since the birth of Aeko, Chris and Ammika are re- portedly closer than ever — and motherhood has come naturally to the 26-year-old. “Chris is head over heels in love with his son and so grate- ful to Ammika for bringing him into this world.
three sketches, Murphy reprised two of his most fa- mous "SNL" characters — Mr. Robinson, a spoof of "Mister Rogers' Neighbor- hood," and Buckwheat of the "Little Rascals."
In "Mister Robinson's Neighborhood," Murphy in- troduced viewers to the word "gentrification."
"It’s like a magic trick," he said. "White people pay a lot of money and then, poof, all of the black people are gone." On a send-up of guess-that- pop-star show "The Masked Singer" Murphy appeared

He went on ... "It is sad that Mr. Murphy would take this glorious moment of returning to SNL and make disparaging
as Buckwheat, his telltale, child's voice quickly giving away his character.
"Memember me!" he says as his identity is revealed be- neath a corn cob costume.
He sang a special song for the audience, Beyoncé's "Single Ladies." "All da tingle lady," he sings, "All da tingle lady."
Murphy's grouchy, green Gumby barged onto the satirical news segment, "Weekend Update."
"I'm Gumby, damn it," he said. "I saved this damn show from the gutter."
remarks against Mr. Cosby," going on to add, "One would think that Mr. Murphy was given his freedom to leave the plantation, so that he could make his own decisions; but he decided to sell himself back to being a Hollywood Slave."
Wyatt continues by com- paring Eddie to vaudevillian actor Stepin Fetchit, and said "cooning" equals the de- struction of black men in Hol- lywood. Then ... he offered a truce of sorts.
The guy invites Eddie to meet with Bill in hopes of "having a meeting of the minds" to help the black com- munity instead of tearing it down -- something BC appar- ently thinks Eddie is doing by taking shots at him on national television.
