Black Officer Helping White Supremacist Overcome By Heat Goes Viral
A Message From The Founder Of The Black Panther Party
Bobby Seale’s mantra for almost 50 years has been: “All power to all the people!”
On the “Black Lives Matter” Movement convening in Cleveland, Ohio on July 24th...
According to Bobby, “Dumb Riots will not get real change. Real people’s consti- tutional democratic civil- human rights revolution is not about a need for violence. In fact, three days after Martin Luther King was killed, I went out to north Richmond, CA to stop a riot in that com- munity where I had worked to set up the first youth jobs tu- torial program in that city. The Black people in that commu- nity knew me through my pro- gram and when I asked the youth to stop rioting and go home, they complied.
“Grass roots, middle work- ing, poor and low income peo- ples necessary eco- nomic revolution is about evolving and re-evolving more progressive politics, i.e., better economic parity, greater environmental ecolog- ical standards and prac- tices, and broad social justice empowerments into the hands of the people via legislative policies and practical eco- nomic jobs programs that make humane sense.
That is what a people’s em- powerment revolution is about. We need to organize in a hundred Fergusons and Bal- timores and elect a thousand progressive politicians like Maryland State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby.”
On the New Black Panther Party...
Mr. Seale’s response to the New Black Panther Party is to refuse to endorse them be- cause of their racist RHETO- RIC and their past support of the terrorist, Osama Bin Laden.
In Houston, Texas, late Oc- tober 2014, at a NAABPP re- union, Bobby was verbally harassed by a New Black Pan- ther advocate saying Mr. Seale supported “white peo- ple’s rights and that is not right!” As far as Mr. Seale is concerned, “I do NOT support this NEW BP in secret as I hear it has been stated. Fur- thermore this New Black Pan- ther Party, I believe is led by some kind of behind the scenes government infiltration encouraging young, uncon- scious Black youth to say such erroneous crap while spewing racist rhetoric that is totally antithetic to my sixties Black Panther Party Principles: ‘all power to all the people.’
To correct what the New Black Panthers say what I sup-

port, in my words: ‘.....consti- tutional democratic civil- human rights for all humanity on the face of this earth.’”
Since Seale spoke at Semi- nole University in Orlando Florida over five years ago, there has been a marked effort on the part of the right wing, including the Tea Party cam- pus groups, telling other stu- dent organizations, et al, to stop Bobby from speaking at university campuses. It is a “Stop Bobby Seale” smear campaign also connected with people who are trying to rip off his life story rights to produce a feature film or series on the Black Panther Party.
On Being a Celebrity Criminal...
Clearing the record of all the lies and distortions propa- gated by the past FBI COIN- TELPRO and/or the present Homeland Security COIN- TELPRO over the years, in- cluding the David Horowitz and Elaine Brown propa- ganda, Mr. Seale addressed the recent 2014 TV One cable station’s production of a series titled, “Celebrity Criminals” first saying he was wrongly de- picted as a “celebrity criminal” noting he actually won all of his courtroom cases.
“All the lies depicted in that series regarding me, including the lie I was beaten up by Huey Newton’s so called ‘goon squad’ or beaten up by Huey and sodomized is a lie propagated originally in years past by FBI COINTELPRO and propagated today as a smear campaign against me.”
On His R.E.A.C.H. Programs...
Seale says his R.E.A.C.H. programs are in opposition to Right Wing Tea Party people attempting to stop him from speaking at universities with his inspirational lectures, en- lightening Q&A workshops, and powerpoint presentations on the very relevant sixties to present day protest move- ments.
The programs teach how youth must organize elector- ally and progressively in hun- dreds of local city communities like Ferguson,

taking over many city councils and county supervisor seats to make progressive new laws that curtail and stop milita- rized police and the murder of unarmed Black youth. Also new laws ending exploitation, and brutality, and simultane- ously developing multi-thou- sands of ECO-youth jobs.
How and why in today’s overdeveloped high tech, fast- paced, computerized, scien- tific social order, Seale advocates...how we have to R.E.A.C.H.
His history.....
As cofounder and Chairman of the Black Panther Party, Seale was an important leader of the Black Power movement. Born in Texas, Seale joined thousands of African Americans when his family migrated to Oakland, California during World War II. At the age of 18, Seale joined the Air Force, where he was given a bad conduct dis- charge after three years of service. He returned to Oak- land and began attending Merritt College, intending to become an engineer. At Mer- ritt he was exposed to an emerging Black Nationalist discourse and first met Huey P. Newton. Inspired by Malcolm X, independence movements in Africa, and anti-colonialist intellectuals such as Frantz Fanon, he founded with Newton in 1966 the Black Panther Party for Self Defense.

Officer Leroy Smith helps a man wearing neo-Nazi attire dur- ing a KKK rally in Columbia, S.C., July 18, 2015
White-supremacist groups and African-American demon- strators clashed in Columbia, S.C., on Saturday, resulting in at least five arrests and seven people taken to hospitals as tensions — and temperatures — flared following the recent decision to remove the Con- federate flag from the State- house grounds.
But it was the powerful image of a black police officer assisting a man wearing a black T-shirt bearing a swastika and struggling in the
heat that resonated online.
In the photo, the officer, Leroy Smith, is seen holding the arm of the unidentified protester as he helped him up the stairs and out of the sun. According to the National Weather Service, tempera- tures in Columbia hit a high of
98 degrees Saturday.
The image was uploaded to
Twitter by Rob Godfrey, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s deputy chief of staff. And it quickly went viral.
Black Advocate For Confederate Flag Killed After Alleged Chase
ANTHONY HERVEY
OXFORD, MS - A Black Mis- sissippi man who was known for his outspoken support of the Confederate Flag died Sun- day following a car crash that was the result of an apparent car chase.
According to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, 49-year-old Anthony Hervey died Sun- day from injuries sustained in a roll-over crash of the SUV he was driving. Hervey’s pas- senger, Arlene Barnum, has told police that their vehicle was being pursued at the time of the crash, which took place after a rally in Birmingham, Alabama in support of the Confederate Flag.
Authorities in Mississippi are investigating.
Hervey, 49, is a well-known personality in Oxford, and au- thor a 2006 book titled, Why I Wave the Confederate Flag, Written by a Black Man: The End of Ni**erism and the Wel- fare State. He would often

dress in a Confederate sol- dier’s uniform and wave the “stars and bars” flag in Ox- ford’s town square, holding forth to onlookers about his views.
The flag has been a flash- point for racial tensions for decades. Supporters say it is a symbol of Southern heritage, while opponents argue it rep- resents slavery and racism.
Hervey's companion told Mississippi investigators he swerved on a state highway to avoid another vehicle that had pulled alongside them.
The companion, who was not badly injured in the crash, said Hervey yelled something at the people in the other car, which then drove to the pas- senger side of their vehicle.
The SUV eventually veered off the road and rolled several times, according to the re- ports.
Hervey died of injuries sus- tained in the wreck.
