Janet Jackson’s ‘No Sleeep’ Cracks To Top 5 Urban AC Chart
Janet Jackson's come- back single, "No Sleeep," con- tinues to rise on the charts. The record jumped four posi- tions to claim the No. 5 spot on the Urban AC chart only three weeks after its debut. "No Sleeep" is also solid on the Bill- board Adult R&B chart, sitting pretty at No. 6.
"'No Sleeep' has completely taken us by surprise by how quickly it has taken off," said Jon Cohen, EVP, Recorded Music, BMG US/ Vagrant Records.
"What was meant to be a laid-back introduction to the campaign has taken Urban AC by storm, hitting the Top Five within three weeks and has sold 60,000 singles in two weeks. All I can say to all of Janet's fans is 'Wait til you hear the rest of the album!'"

Coroner: BB King Was Not Poisoned; Died Of Natural Causes
Medical examiners say that they have found no evidence to prove that blues legend B.B. King was poisoned before he died of natural causes back in May 2015. Various tests con- ducted consistently showed that his causes of death were Alzheimer’s disease, coronary disease, heart failure and the effects of Type 2 diabetes.
Two of his children, Karen Williams and Patty King, had accused his business man- ager and partner of poisoning him to hasten his death. They then contested their father’s will, and went on to unsuc- cessfully take over King’s es- tate, which was left to one of King’s long-time business

Antoine Fuqua’s New Movie 'Southpaw' Opens Today
Tamar Says Rihanna More Pop Singer, Than R&B
In this Sunday, July 12, 2015 photo, Antoine Fuqua, left, and Jake Gyllenhaal, pose for a portrait in promotion of their new film "Southpaw."
Director Antoine Fuqua got a distressing call early in pre- production for the boxing drama “Southpaw.”
It was Terry Claybon, a box- ing expert who’s trained Fuqua for years. He’d just met with Jake Gyllenhaal to see if the actor could fight and he didn’t have good news.
In “Southpaw,” out this Fri- day, Gyllenhaal needed to play a light heavyweight boxing champ, Billy “The Great” Hope.
“He said, ‘He’s the wrong guy, you picked the wrong guy,’” said Fuqua.
Gyllenhaal could hardly be blamed. He’d never boxed and Fuqua was looking for some- thing specific.
As a lifetime boxing student and devotee, the “Training Day” director wanted realism in his movie. He’d never directed a film about the sport he loved so dearly and he really didn’t want to make just another boxing movie.
Between “Rocky” and “Rag- ing Bull” and a number of lesser imitators, the cinema is a not so secret fan of the drama and metaphors inherent in the bru- tal sport.
Yet the possibility lingered. Not only did Fuqua think that Gyllenhaal had the physical size and expressive eyes to make this fairly unlikable guy lovable, Harvey Weinstein was also keen on him.
Gyllenhaal was prepared for the challenge. The now 34- year-old actor didn’t hesitate to throw himself into the ring.
Two weeks after that initial call, Claybon had a much al- tered message.
“He said, ‘you were right. This guy’s got heart. He’s tough,’” re- calls Fuqua.
So they started building Billy Hope together. Literally.
Fuqua and Gyllenhaal trained side-by-side twice a day, (nearly) every day for months with Claybon. They did it all: the tires, the sparring, the sprints, the long runs and the sit-ups. Fuqua eventually scaled back to once a day, while Gyllenhaal soldiered on.
It didn’t ease up on set, either. Fuqua filmed the three-minute rounds straight through, often opting for six-minute takes without the help of body dou- bles.
Tamar Braxton says she loves Rihanna, but she had a problem when the interna- tional pop star received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album.
"I had an issue with Ri- hanna being nominated at the Grammys for Best R&B Album," Tamar told Power 105's Angie Martinez. "She doesn’t sing R&B music. She is a Pop star. You know what I'm saying? I had an issue with that a little bit."
To detract from any drama, she adds, "I love her though, glad she won," later adding, "This is facts."
In response to what makes a song R&B, Tamar coun- tered, "It's called Rhythm and Blues. Ribs and Barbecue. It's not pop, pop, pop...It's soulful. That's R&B music."
She adds that Beyonce

Chris Brown Not Allowed To Leave The Phillipines
Grammy award-winning singer Chris Brown‘s depar- ture from Manila has been de- layed because of fraud allegations against him and his promoter for a canceled con- cert last New Year’s eve.
Breezy and his promoter were prevented from leaving on a private plane Wednesday pending the immigration bu- reau’s clearance.
The religious group that owns the New Year’s eve con- cert venue had petitioned the Department of Justice for help prosecuting Brown.
It wasn’t immediately clear if a formal complaint has already been filed.
Immigration bureau spokes- woman Elaine Tan says Brown and his promoter must obtain an emigration clearance certificate to leave the country.
She says they will not be
