MR. JOHN PHILLIP HARRIS ‘J.P.’
Mr. John Phillip Harris "J.P." of Tampa, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015. Fu- neral services will be con- ducted Saturday, October 24 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James A. M. E. Church, 5202 S. 86th Street, Reverend Michael Price, Pastor with Pastor Dwight D. Brown, Sr., offici- ating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Harris was a native of Blakely, Georgia and a resi- dent of Tampa, for 75 years. He was educated by the Pub- lic Schools of Hillsborough County and attended Middle- ton High School. Mr. Harris began his Christian walk at New Jerusalem Baptist Church and he later joined St. James A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Pas- tor B. O. Padgett where he served diligently on Usher Board Number 1. Mr. Harris was employed with the City of Tampa for over 20 years. After retirement he enjoyed working for the Hillsborough County Sherriff Office as a Crossing Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. J. T. Har- ris and Mrs. Ioler Rhodes Harris; brothers, Freddie B. Harris and Jessie Harris; sis- ter, Doris Baldwin; children, Beaufort, Leola, Clementine, Mary and Edith Brown;
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 37 years, Allie B. McPherson of Tampa, FL; his loving chil- dren, Mark McPherson (Ena), Don Taylor, Dwight, Samuel, Eddie Brown and Ophelia House, all of Tampa, FL; a loving sister, Essie (Love) Jolliff; special nephew, Irvin Preston; fam- ily friend, Vaughn Akins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5:00 p.m. Friday, Octo- ber 23 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Arrange- ments entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
MS. WILLIE BELL ‘BELL’ HAUGABOOK
Ms. Willie Bell “Bell” Hau- gabook of 4507 S. Clark Ave, Tampa FL passed away on Saturday October 10, 2015. Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, October 24, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of West Tampa, 1302 N. Willow Avenue, Tampa, FL with Reverend Dr. Ray- ford Harper, Pastor, officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery Tampa FL.
Ms. Haugabook was a na- tive of Attapulgus, GA where she received her High School diploma. She furthered her education at Savannah State University, Savannah GA. Ms. Haugabook was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of West Tampa from 1964 until the day she passed. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Ms. Hauga- book was a model example of the Christian faith.
She leaves to cherish her legacy of life: her very de- voted son, Idris Faruq Muhammad and wife Kameer Rahman, of Brandon FL; grandchildren, Fard Ali Muhammad and Ameena Raaina Muhammad of Bran- don FL; three sisters, Mamie Davis of Thomasville GA, Tinnie (husband) Arrington of Thomasville, GA and Rosa (Rev. Winifred) Screen of Bainbridge, GA; two broth- ers, Jesse (wife Janice) John- son of Washington Township, New Jersey and Willie C. Johnson of Tampa FL; and a host of other sor- rowing nieces, nephews and a host of other sorrowing rel- atives and friends.

Brother Garry Glenn Hicks of Tampa passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015. Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Mr. Hicks was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, and was educated by the Pub- lic Schools of Hillsborough County. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Bap- tist Church and was em- ployed as a Barber at Cole’s Barber Shop. He was pre- ceded in death by his father, Robert L. Hicks; and brother, Odell Hicks. He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: two sons, Staff Sergeant Shaun M. Simmons of North Carolina and Garry Hicks, Jr. of Tampa, FL; one daugh- ter, Megan R. Simmons of Apopka, FL; a devoted mother, Marritta Hicks; two brothers, Ozell Hicks and wife Vanessa and John Williams of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Mattie Wyche and husband Ralph and Sarah Ann Haywood of Tampa, FL; a devoted friend, Saralynn Clarke of Tampa, FL; 8 aunts, Juanita George, Mittie Barnes of Albany, GA, Ida M. Smith, Vera Barnes and hus- band, James, both of Tampa, FL, Lizzie Mae Vannedoe and Louise Johnson, both of Mid- way, GA, Rosa Lee Douglas and Victoria Hicks of Tampa, FL; 3 uncles, Lenton Douglas and wife Edna, Eddie G. Ms. Brenda Welch of Tampa, passed away Satur- day, October 10, 2015. Ms. Brenda Welch was a native of Tampa, educated by the Public Schools of Hills- borough County and was a graduate of Howard W Blake, Class of 1968. She fur- thered her education at Hillsborough Community College and the University of South Florida where she studied Criminal Justice and English Education.
She was employed as an Independent Sales Repre- sentatives at World Financial Group until her health de- clined. She was gainfully em- ployed in the insurance industry for over 25 years.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, William Ford, Sr.; sister: Loleeta “Leeky” Brown; step-sister and step-brother, Synorva White and Tavares Ander- son; grandmother, Henrietta Peterson; and Tom Brown.

MS. ELOUISE B. ROBINSON ‘QUEEN’
Homegoing celebration for Ms. Elouise B. Robinson “Queen”, who passed away on Sunday October 18, 2015 will be held on Saturday, Oc- tober 24, 2015 at 10 a. m. at College Hill Church of God In Christ, 6414 E. Diana Street, Tampa, with Superintendent Charles Davis, officiating. Interment will follow in Myr- tle Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Robinson was pre- ceded in death by: her brother, Jessie Blakey, Jr.; sisters, Mary Daniels and Coleen Sails; a daughter, Dorothy Lucas; and a grand- daughter, Melissa Wiley.
She leaves to cherish memories of her with: two sons, James Anderson (spe- cial friend, Gale), and Elijah Lucas (Gina); five daughters, Janice Stephens, Vanessa Blakely, Kathy Anderson, Amber Singletary (Dr. Jef- fery Singletary), and Gail Boles (Pastor Eddie Boles); 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; a sister, Laura Smalley; a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins; brother-in-law, Cordell Jones (Rose); special friend, Lillian White; and other relatives and friends.
Elouise “Queen” Robinson wa s born June 13, 1934 in Hillsborough County, FL, to the union of the late Jessie and Gussie Blakely.
Ms. Robinson attended Don Thompson High School (presently known as Blake High School). She retired from Hillsborough County School District as a bus driver. Ms. Robinson en- joyed spending her time gar- dening and sewing. She was a faithful member of College Hill Church of God in Christ, where Superintendent Charles Davis serves as her Pastor.
There will be a viewing on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 5-8 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with the fam- ily present from 6-7 p. m. in the chapel.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church on Sat- urday at approximately 9:45 a. m. for the service.
