Idris Elba may not play James Bond anytime soon, but the British born actor still has a slew of upcoming proj- ects on the horizon.
Up next for Elba is the Net- flix original movie Beasts Of No Nation. The film tells the story of a young West African boy named Aqu (Abraham Atu), who’s forced into a group of mercenary fighters after his family is torn apart by a civil war. Elba will play a ruthless warlord known as “the Commandant,” who looks to mold Abu to be his protégé and a part of his army of cold- blooded killers. Beasts Of No Nation will debut on Netflix on

In 10 days, Morris Chest- nut will make his leading primetime debut in FOX’s new medical drama “Rosewood.” The actor — who made us first fall in love as Ricky in “Boyz in the Hood,” then Lance in “The Best Man” — and now in his new role as Dr. Beaumont Rosewood.
“This is my first leading role in a TV show, which is one of the reasons why I wanted to play the character,” he said. “In some of my last most recent movies, I’ve been emotional and crying and it’s been tough. I wanted to have a fun charac- ter.”

After the huge success of F. Gary Gray’s N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, re- ports began circulating that a sequel of sorts was in the works. Dogg Pound member Daz Dillinger was said to be shopping the idea of a follow- up movie focusing on the rise of Death Row Records. It ap- pears actors have been cast to star in the film tentatively ti- tled Dogg Pound 4 Life.
Daz Dillinger will be played by Azad Arnaud, Dr. Dre will be played by his son, Curtis Young, Suge Knight will be played by Reggie Noble, Tupac will be played by DaDa, and Kurupt will be played by Melvin Jack- son Jr. from The Wire.

and Universal Pictures are currently not involved in the making of Dogg Pound 4 Life. But Cube has reportedly given his blessing for the movie.
UK phenom Sam Smith has officially been chosen to perform the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film Spectre. The song is titled “Writing’s on the Wall”, but sorry – you have to wait until Sept. 25th when the tune will come be available for purchase and streaming.
