New York Street Named After Big Pun Closer To Reality
The late rapper, Big Pun died in 2000 from a heart at- tack and respiratory failure.
A group of community members in New York City have their sights set on the im- mortalization of another Hip Hop icon.
The Bronx’s News 12 reports that a group of residents in the borough want to rename 163rd Street after the late Christo- pher Lee Rios better known by his stage name Big Pun (short for Big Punisher).
Big Pun emerged from the underground hip hop scene in The Bronx in the early 1990s. He was the first Latino rapper to have an album certified plat- inum as a solo act.
New York has several streets named after rappers, including Malik ‘Phife Dawg’ Taylor Way in Queens, Robert “PH” Diaz Way in Brooklyn, and Hip Hop Boulevard in the Bronx.

‘Searching For Neverland’ Apart
On Monday (May 29), Lifetime aired, Searching for Neverland, a two-hour film chronicling the last three years of Michael Jack- son’s life (as told through the eyes of his two body- guards).
Prior to its Memorial Day debut, Searching for Never- land, hit a music roadblock. Jackson’s estate called the film “unauthorized,” and re- fused to license its owner- ship of MJ’s music catalog, along with “images, video and film.”
Since Lifetime has dealt with similar restrictions be- fore, they worked around the issue with help from Bobby Brown’s “My Prerogative.” In the end, Searching for Neverland, scored 2 million viewers, earning Lifetime it’s second-highest ratings for an

But the Twitter reactions may be more entertaining than the film itself. Social media picked the film apart, starting with the actor play-

Drake And Ludacris’ 7-Year Beef Is OFFICIALLY Over
When VIEWS won Top Billboard 200 Album at the Billboard Music Awards, Drake used his acceptance speech to send a message of peace to Ludacris.
“Ludacris, we haven’t always seen eye to eye, but I’ve always been a big fan of yours and I got a lot of love for you. I want to let you know that face to face, while I’m still here.”
It was a moment of rec- onciliation for the two rap- pers whose beef started way back in 2010, but Ludacris has since confirmed that the feud had actually already been over for a while.
Speaking to the NY Daily News, Luda said: “Yeah, everything is good. We had a conversation before he even did that.”
DRAKE AND LUDACRIS
The contention began years ago when Drake seemed to call out Luda for stealing flows, an accusation that Luda appeared to re- spond to on “Bada Boom.”
Now it seems as though the men are more likely to do a track together than write about each other passive-ag- gressively.
