Nick Young Reportedly Arrested After Traffic Stop Friday Night
NICK YOUNG
Nick Young was report- edly arrested Friday night in Hollywood following a traffic stop.
The 33-year-old refused to cooperate with the officers on scene, and so he was arrested for obstruction of justice.
He was taken to a nearby station where he was booked. Young’s vehicle was im- pounded.
Young won a ring last sea- son with the Golden State Warriors, where he played 17 minutes a game, shot 41 per- cent from deep, and made some plays. The Warriors, frustrated with Young not playing within the offense and not playing much defense at all, were looking to move on.
Defiant Lamar Jackson Takes Shot At Critics After Standout Performance
LAMAR JACKSON
Lamar Jackson has faced questions before and after the NFL Draft about whether he has what it takes to be a successful quarterback at the NFL level, and he’s heard all that criticism.
So on Saturday night, when the Baltimore Ravens quarter- back delivered an excellent performance against the Miami Dolphins, Jackson couldn’t resist making a point about what he’d done.
“I hope people know I can throw now, even though I had a low percentage,” Jackson said. “But it’s all good. We had fun and came out with a win.”
Jackson went 7-of-10 for 98 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens’ 27-10 win over Miami, a big improvement over his first three preseason games where he struggled with accuracy and completed just 41.9 percent of his passes.

Serena Williams Shrugs Off Catsuit Ban
Serena Williams on Saturday defended the presi- dent of the French Tennis Federation, who faced a back- lash after saying he intended to ban outfits like the form- fitting catsuit Williams wore in this year’s French Open.
Williams said she spoke on Friday with the president, Bernard Giudicelli, who recently told France’s Tennis Magazine that he would in- troduce a dress code at Roland Garros because “one must respect the game and place.”
After several supporters in tennis and outside the game objected to Giudicelli’s de- cision as disrespectful to Williams, she told reporters that she was not concerned.
