ARTIST OF THE WEEK
BY TALK TO ‘EM DA DON
Goon Slink was born and raised in Bradenton, FL, 941 Haitian Hip-Hop/Rap artist. He has been writing and rapping lyrics every since he can remember. He doesn’t know how it happened but he definitely gives the credit to his big brother, who taught him how to count bars at a early age.
His biggest influence is his family they are his biggest supporters. “It has to be the experience man, no lie.”
He started rapping in early 2000, got hot in 2006,
and caught a 10-year bid in 2008. He got out in 2017, and he never switched his brand, he never switched his flow or changed what he stood for; you have the good, the bad, the ugly, and then you have him.
He has an EP out now on all platforms called “QUAR- ANTINE FLOW,” go get that!! His advice to upcom- ing artists is, “to stay active, keep pushing no matter what kind of advice you re- ceive or opinions you might bump into.
Keep faith in what you create, before during and after you create it.”

Michael Jackson Gave Little Richard Back His Music Publishing For Free
When Michael Jackson bought the publishing rights to the Beatles catalog, he was unaware that the Beatles owned ALL of the rights to Lit- tle Richard’s publishing, which then meant that MJ ac- quired all of the rights to Lit- tle Richard’s publishing. As soon as Michael found that out, he immediately GAVE Little Richard ALL of his publishing rights back for free because he believed that Little Richard deserved to be com- pensated for his hard work after having been disrespected by his record label for so many years prior to.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Little Richard’s net worth is $40 million, so we’re sure those publishing checks had a lot to do with that.
MICHAEL JACKSON
As we all know, most soul artists were not getting paid what they were worth back in the day and Little Richard was caught up in that mix. So it’s a beautiful thing to have had an artist like Michael Jackson in the music game
LITTLE RICHARD
who was willing to reach back and uplift the greats who paved the way for him.
One thing about Micheal is that he was not as soft-spoken as we may have thought and he was NOT one to be tested on any level!
