  Health
No matter how old you are, chances are, you may have de- veloped a good collection of scars on your body. Some scars may have come from burns, acne, cuts, surgery incisions or scrapes after falling off the monkey bars. Either way, every scar tells a story, and re- gardless if it’s a good or bad story, depending on where the scar is, we sometimes just want to make the scar disap- pear completely.
Before reaching for creams that contain hard-to-pro- nounce chemicals or going to your doctor to discuss expen- sive laser treatments, try the holistic and more cost-effective approach and reach for the fol- lowing oils to help perma- nently heal your scars.
Lavender Essential Oil Lemon Essential Oil
When tea tree essential oil is used regularly with a carrier oil, it can not only greatly re- duce the appearance of scars, but tighten and smooth the skin as well.
     Tea Tree Essential Oil
Tea tree oil, also known as Melaleuca, is a powerful essen- tial oil. This oil derives from an Australian plant and is found in many skin products that are known to help heal dry skin, treat acne, psoriasis and eczema. Tea tree essential oil is a strong and effective antioxi- dant that has the ability to im- prove the skin by reducing blemishes, lines and scars.
Lemon oil is a multi-pur- pose essential oil that has been used for hundreds of years as a cleaner and disinfectant, skin tonic, astringent, immune sys- tem booster and a list of other beneficial uses. With high lev- els of vitamin C, lemon essen- tial oil’s ability to function as an immune system booster is an important piece in skin re- pair and regeneration. Lemon stimulates the white blood cells which allows the body’s ability to fight off disease and produce healthy, new skin cells that will cover the old, dead cells.
This essential oil not only smells beautiful but, it also is one of the best essential oils to heal scars and blemishes. Also known as Lavendula, Lavender oil has antibacterial and anti- fungal properties the can help reduce the overall appearance of scars. One of nature’s most gentle oils, lavender essential oil can be used for new cuts, blemishes or burns to help promote healing immediately or it can be used for existing scars to help decrease the ap- pearance in size.

erties as an antiseptic, disin- fectant, antioxidant, detoxify- ing, anti-carcinogenic, diuretic, stimulate, tonic, among a list of other amazing benefits. Carrot seed essential oil’s high level of antioxidants protects the skin from wrin- kles, improves skin tone and elasticity and reduces fine lines. Just like tea tree essen- tial oil, you can find carrot es- sential oil listed in quite a few beauty products.
Rosehip Seed Oil
The only carrier oil listed, rosehip seed oil has a ton of de- licious benefits for the skin. Rosehip seed oil is full of an- tioxidants, vitamins and essen- tial fatty acids that make it a natural acne and eczema treat- ment that can hydrate skin and correct dark spots and blem- ishes. It also can reduce wrin- kles, lighten scars and regenerate skin.
