  AIKENS
MRS. EVA MAE WILLIAMS MINOR
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Eva Mae Williams Minor of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on February 18, 2019, will be held on Saturday, February 23rd, 2 p. m. at Peace Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 2607 E. 24th Avenue, Pastor Sylvester Robinson, offi- ciating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Eva Mae Williams was born February 11, 1935 to the union of the late Eddie and Emma Williams in Tampa, Florida. Eva received her education in Hills- borough County schools, gradu- ating in 1953 from Middleton Senior High school. She was em- ployed in the Veterans Adminis- tration Service System, where she worked for 29 years at the VA Hospital before retiring.
Eva accepted Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Peace Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. She became an active choir member at an early age, expressing her love for singing and being part of the progressive movement in the church.
Eva was united in Holy Mat- rimony June 19, 1959 in Tampa, to Willie James Minor, who pre- ceded her in death on January 5, 2018. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Emma Williams; siblings, Mathew Harris, Sr., and, Deloris Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and devoted cousins.
Eva leaves to cherish her precious memories: her nephew, Mathew Harris, Jr. (Malichand); three sisters-in- law, Dorothy Minor Goins (Charles) Tampa, Thelma Minor Billings (Eddie), Fort Worth, Texas and Catharine Minor Har- vey (Lee), Riverview, Florida; one brother-in-law, George Monroe, Williston, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Lillie Tombs Minor and Loretta Gilbert, both of Tampa; one uncle, Willie D. Rayford, Williston, Florida; one aunt, Catherine Brown, Willis- ton, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and devoted cousins; very special friends and adopted family, Ruben Yeoman, Jr., and Juanita, Odessa, Florida; other relatives and friends, including devoted neighbors of many years, Tom and Susanne Gold- traps and Brenda R. McAllister, all of Tampa, Florida.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, February 22nd from 5-7 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.

BISHOP FRANCIS STINSON DAVIS, SR.
Bishop Francis Stinson Davis, Sr. of Tampa, entered his eternal rest on Wednesday, Feb- ruary 13, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb- ruary 23 at 11 a. m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress St., Reverend Dr. James Favorite, Pastor, with Reverend Prentiss Davis, offici- ating and Archbishop Clarence E. Davis, Eulogist. Interment will be held on Monday, Febru- ary 25th, at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
Bishop Francis S. Davis was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, FL, born to John Henry and Alice Davis. He was edu- cated in the public schools of Hillsborough County to include Don Thompson High School and served in the United States Army Reserve.
In 1976, the Tampa Bay Golf Association was founded by Bishop Davis and in 1988, The General Assembly Church of the Firstborn, Inc., was established with Bishop Davis as the Over- seer and Bishop. Bishop Davis retired from Delta Airlines as a Senior Customer Service Repre- sentative.
He was preceded in eternal rest by: his parents, John Henry Davis and Alice Davis Lee; brothers, Charles Davis, John Davis and Winston Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving, devoted and faithful wife of 31 years, Kather- ine Elizabeth Davis; 3 sons, Boris, Francis (Erica) and Joshua Davis; 2 daughters, Franquita Davis and Bennetta Simmons (Larry); grandchil- dren, Boris Davis, Jr. (Le’Shelle), Chantel Foster (Troy), Gabrielle Rayls (Tyler), Jolie Davis Ballantyne, Kamian, Damian and Dorian Parris, Joshua Davis, Mason Davis, Francis Davis, III, and Glory Davis; great granddaughters, I’yana Davis and Mariah Foster; one darling sister, Barbara Johnson; 4 brothers, Arch- bishop Clarence E. Ms. Carolyn Nix of Tampa passed away Monday, February 11, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 23, at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Minister James Suttle, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Carolyn Nix was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida. She attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a member of Booth Street Church of Christ, Safety Harbor, FL. Ms. Nix retired as a Department Manager from Wal- mart.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Cleota White.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Joseph Nix and Kevin Williams, Sr., both of Tampa, FL; seven grandchil- dren, Lamaya, Jaida, Chanel, Kevin, Jr., Kevianna, Calvin, and Aydden, all of Tampa, FL; two great grandchildren, Jah’nai and Elijah, both of Tampa; one aunt, Vila Mae Jones of Tampa; one sister, Marcia Hall and husband, Pastor Bruce Hall; one brother, Alvin Berkhall, Sr. and wife, Erica Berkhall, all of Tampa; seven nephews, Joshua, Alvin, Jr., Demario, Britt, Eric, Carl and Zachariah, all of Tampa; six nieces, Yodney, Alcia, Alveeta, Alvina, Amondrea and Dejanae, all of Tampa; five cousins, Gail, Toy and Leonard “Brother,” all of New York, NY, Catherine and Anthony, both of Tampa; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and devoted friends.

MR. JAMES ‘BUG’ HENRY WASHINGTON, JR.
Mr. James “Bug” Henry Washington, Jr. of Tampa, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Febru- ary 23, at 2 p. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Pastor Donald Lott, officiating.
James was a native of Tampa, Florida, and a lifelong resident for 52 years. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County. James grew up in the “West Tampa” community surrounded by family and friends. James was fun-loving and made whomever he came in contact with smile. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Barbara Jo Knight, James Henry Washington, Sr.; and his grandparents, Rueben and Marie Walker-Knight, and George and Hattie Washington.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: three loving sisters, Sharon Dean (Lawrence), Sherrina Ja- cobs, and Chervon Washington; one brother, Darryl Knight; nieces, Sandra James (Richard), and Jasmine Jacobs; great nieces and nephews, Rochelle Beeman, Bobbi Foster, and Richard and Rashad James; aunts and uncles, Rubye King, Myrl Wright, Mag- gie Knight, Walter Knight (Mary), and James Knight (Martha); special friends, Joyce Walker and Gertrude Murray; and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.
