Police:
Gunman Remains Free In Shooting That Left 2 Dead, 1 Injured
   Accused Of Sex Act

  A school security officer was arrested Wednesday and charged with sexual battery on a victim under the age of 12. He is currently being held at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond.
Tampa Police stated the incident took place at Booker T. Washington Elementary School. On January 10th, po- lice were notified of a possible sexual battery at the school. The report stated the incident involved a school security of- ficer and a 6-year-old girl.
The suspect, identified as
Malcolm Curtis Tillman,
22, of Tampa, is an employee of the Hillsborough County Public School District.
According to police, when interviewed by detectives, Tillman denied the allega- tion. However, he did admit to being alone with the child in a classroom.

ducted and police recovered physical evidence from the classroom that supported the victim’s account of the inci- dent. The DNA evidence im- plicated Tillman. A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was taken into custody at approximately 5:30 p.m., at his residence, police said.
The investigation into a fatal traffic accident has re- vealed the driver was speed- ing. The fatal accident took place on January 11th, around 6:25 p.m.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, undercover Deputy Philip J. Montesi was traveling north- bound in an unmarked vehicle when the accident took place.
Josiah Pinner, 15, and his unidentified friend were crossing the street at Florida Avenue and 124th Avenue, when the accident took place. Deputy Montesi observed the friend pushing a bicycle and swerved to avoid hitting him.
However, he struck Pin- ner while attempting to avoid hitting the other child.
Police said the deputy’s lights were on and the green light was in his favor. The boys were not walking in the marked crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The investigation also re- vealed that the posted speed in the area was 45 miles per hour. However, Deputy Montesi was traveling 66 miles per hour at the point of impact.

Last Monday, police re- sponded to a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered that three men had been shot. Two of them died.
According to St. Peters- burg police, officers re- sponded to 34th Street, South at 18th Avenue, South. When officers arrived at the Shell Gas Station, a crowd of ap- proximately 100 people were gathered in the parking lot.
They discovered three men had been shot. They were transported to a local

hospital, where two of the men were pronounced dead. The third victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The dead men were iden- tified as Roger Lee Ford, Jr., 42, and Tywan Jere- miah Armstrong, 39. Carlos Demetrus Young, 44, was listed in stable con- dition.
Police said no additional information was available and the gunman remains at large. The investigation is continuing.

  Police said another em- ployee, Deputy Andrew Van Guilder, was traveling behind Deputy Montesi and it was not a hit and run acci- dent. Both deputies remained on the scene and rendered first aid to the youth. However, he died as a result of his injuries.
Sheriff Chad Chronis- ter said, “This is a terrible ac- cident that involves our office and has impacted our commu- nity. I am extremely sensitive to that and want to express my deepest condolences to Josiah’s mother, father, and entire family.
“As a father, I cannot imag- ine losing a child. I am hopeful that out of this tragic event, greater conversations and ef- forts to educate our children in the area of pedestrian and bi- cycle safety take place to pre- vent future tragedies.” The investigation is continuing.
Help To Solve Double Murder
  The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a burglary suspect. He re- portedly broke into the AT&T Store, 812 Bloomingdale Av- enue, on January 20th.
According to police, the man broke the glass to gain entry to the business by breaking the glass. He at- tempted to gain entry into the safe. However, the arrival of deputies scared him away. He fled the business through the emergency exit.
He is described as a Black man, about 6’ tall and weigh- ing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray hoodie, gym shorts, neon green socks, and red mittens on his hands.

AT&T Burglary Suspect
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information pertaining to a double murder. The murders took place earlier this month.
According to Tampa Po- lice, two people were fatally wounded while traveling in a vehicle in the 8700 block of N. Tangerine Place.
A family member identi- fied one of the victims as Ms. Jimmiel “Nina Ross Da Boss” Spillman Engram. Ms. Engram was the mother of 6 children between the ages of 2 months and 11- years of age.
Her mother-in-law, Ms. Yolanda Baker said she was a Tampa native, and at- tended the public schools of Hillsborough County. She earned her certificate as a hairstylist. She was also the owner of Luxe Laced, a hair shop that offered customized lace fronts.

throughout the community and on social media as “Arab.” No additional infor- mation on the victims was re- leased by police.
Tampa Police are still ask- ing members of the commu- nity who may have information in the double murder to come forward.
