Ricky Seals-Jones Faces Assault, Disorderly Conduct Charges
RICKY SEALS-JONES Cardinals tight end Ricky
Seals-Jones was arrested on three charges Saturday night after a scuffle ensued when he was denied entrance to the W Scottsdale to use a bathroom, according to Scottsdale po- lice.
Seals-Jones was charged with assault, disorderly con- duct and third-degree crimi- nal trespassing after he pushed a member of the hotel's security team who was working at the front entrance of the hotel.
Seals-Jones, who police said appeared to be drunk with "bloodshot watery eyes," tried to enter the hotel through its main entrance to use the restroom but was told the hotel was open only to guests at that time, according to the report.
He then walked over to the entrance of a sushi restaurant that's connected to the hotel and entered after moving ropes and stanchions that were set up to block non- guests from entering. Seals- Jones told police that he went over the ropes because he wanted to use the restau- rant's restroom.
Ricky Seals-Jones was arrested on three charges Sat- urday night in Scottsdale.
Once inside, where he moved another set of ropes and stanchions, according to the report, Seals-Jones was confronted by staff of the hotel who tried to get Seals- Jones to leave but, according to the report, that's when he became physical.
"He became combative, pushed me," one of the hotel employees said in the report.

Thinks Lakers Will
Moves Out Of House
Get Off To Slow Start
LeSean McCoy’s girl- friend Delicia Cordon had been staying at a house owned by the NFL star for an extended period of time, but she has decided to move out after she was violently at- tacked earlier this month.
Cordon moved out of the Alpharetta, Ga., home less than a week after a masked man broke in, pistol whipped her and robbed her. She is re- portedly moving to a home she considers more safe and has hired private security.
A previous report indi- cated McCoy had gone to a judge seeking to have Cor- don evicted from the home. Cordon responded by telling the judge McCoy had re- cently given her a “substantial gift” and discussed marriage with her. She also said McCoy sent some friends and family members to re- move items from the home

when she was away, but po- lice put a stop to it after she saw what was going on via a live security feed.
McCoy has denied having any involvement in the attack on Cordon, but the victim’s legal team strongly insinu- ated that she believes McCoy set her up.
The NFL and the Buffalo Bills are investigating the in- cident, and it would not be a surprise if McCoy is sus- pended to start the 2018 sea- son.
The start of the NBA sea- son is still over three months away, but Magic Johnson is already trying to temper ex- pectations for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Guesting on the ESPN broadcast during his team’s Summer League champi- onship game against the Port- land Trail Blazers on Tuesday, the Lakers president of bas- ketball operations said that he was expecting a slow start to the coming season.
Johnson then said that the Lakers were just trying to “get in the playoffs, and then

we’ll see what happens.” He also revealed that he was in- spired by the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets in putting together the team’s roster.

Terrell Owens clarified Wednesday on the ESPYS red carpet that he isn't "actively seeking to get into the NFL" but would entertain the possi- bility, "as well as the CFL," if an opportunity arises.
Owens' agent, Jason Staroszik, told ESPN on Tuesday that the 44-year-old wide receiver "100 percent" wants to play football again, saying "he wants to play in the NFL, but if he can't, the CFL is the next-best option."
Staroszik's comments came in response to Owens activating a procedural win- dow that requires the Edmon- ton Eskimos -- who own his CFL rights -- to offer him a contract or release him from their exclusive negotiation list
Reinstated By NFL
The Dallas Cowboys will be getting some immediate help on their defensive line heading into the 2018 season, as defensive end Randy Gregory was reinstated by the NFL on Tuesday.
Gregory’s lawyer con- firmed the news.
The road back for Gre- gory has been a long one, as he was suspended for the en- tire 2017 season following multiple failed drug tests. The former Nebraska star has

played in only two games over the past two seasons, and there was doubt over whether he would ever play in the NFL again.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is big on sec- ond chances, and the team has stuck by Gregory throughout all of his off-field issues. Like other teams, they knew he had a history with not being able to stay out of trouble prior to the 2015 NFL Draft, but they took him with the 60th overall pick anyway.
Gregory is just 25, so he will have plenty of time to reestablish his career if he can stay clean.

within 10 days.
"It's unfortunate that I
haven't been able to continue my career, but again, I'm not actively seeking to get into the NFL; but again, if there's an opportunity for me to play, then yeah, I will entertain that, as well as the CFL."
He said: "If it happens, it happens, but if it doesn't, it's not the end of the world."
The Los Angeles Rams traded a first-round pick for Brandin Cooks prior to the NFL Draft earlier this year, and they clearly were not thinking of the star wide receiver as a rental player when they made the deal.
On Tuesday, the Rams an- nounced that they have signed Cooks to a five-year contract extension, which will keep him under contract with the team through 2023.
It was somewhat surprising that the New England Patriots dealt Cooks after the 24-year- old caught 65 passes for 1,082 yards and seven touchdowns

last year, but there were times when he struggled to get on the same page with Tom Brady.
Still, Cooks has lightning speed and is the type of play- maker who keeps defenses on their toes.
