One Church One Child Of Florida, Inc. Child In The Spotlight
In the Spotlight are chil- dren available for adoption into your family.
One Church One Child of Florida is a faith-based, 501(c)3 organization, operating statewide in partnership with the Department of Children and Families and local com- munity-based lead agencies and their providers in recruit- ment of adoptive and foster families and local churches to partner in supporting children in foster care and local families through Church Watch-Care Ministries.
Over 50% of the children who need a permanent family are minorities. The series con- tinues featuring children all over Florida who are waiting in foster care for a forever loving family to call their own.
April’s child is highlighted in this article. Continue to pray for him and consider making him a part of your family through adoption or a part of your church through Project Watch-Care, for support and mentoring.

puts him in a position of lead- ership, which he takes on with confidence, and this attribute is displayed most plainly on the football field.
Mario is a very talented athlete, and has aspirations of playing professionally one day. He also works hard in school and has seen a lot of improve- ment in his grades this past school year. Mario desires a strong male role model in his life, and hopes for a home with not only a father, but older brothers as well. He would pre- fer a family of the same race as him.

portive, active home that will help to keep him on the right path and encourage his many abilities.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
One Church One Child of Florida is hosting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 11:30 a. m. – 12:30 p. m. at Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church, 5920 Robert Tolle Drive, in Riverview. This event will celebrate the grand open- ing of the new location for One Church One Child of Florida SunCoast Region office. Re- freshments will be served fol- lowing the ceremony. There will be information available on adopting, fostering, mentoring, partnering and volunteering. Please RSVP to LaKay at (813) 740-0210.

Screen On The Green Outdoor Movie Series Returns To Water Works Park
The City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Tampa Recreation have teamed to- gether to bring the family- friendly outdoor movie series, Screen on the Green, back to Water Work Park.
Scheduled on Saturday nights in April, movies are shown on a large screen under the stars. The series begins on April 9 with the Walt Disney Animation Studio feature Big Hero 6. All movies are free and begin at 8 p. m., weather permitting.

Food trucks and conces- sions will be available on site. Grab the family and a blanket and head to Water Works Park, located at 1710 N. Highland Avenue. Screen on the Green is presented by Fron- tier Communications and is sponsored by Grow Financial Credit Union, The Tampa Trib- une, WFLA News Channel 8, and MAGIC 94.9.
