Police Chief Creates Community Advisory Team

Individuals interested in serving on the Chief’s Commu- nity Advisory Team must have lived within the city limits of Tampa for the last five years; be in good standing with the community; and be available to meet one on one with the Chief for scheduled meetings.
A diverse team of Tampa residents will be selected to en- sure the Chief hears directly from community members.

Hillsborough Educator Passes After Brief Illness
Charles Collins, FAMU graduate, Life Member of the Tampa Chapter, and retired from the Hillsborough County Public School System as an ed- ucator and Human Relations Specialists, passed away on July 7, 2020, after a short bout with COVID-19.
Collins was a lifelong member of Mt. Tabor M. B. Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher. He was a graduate of the Howard W. Blake Class of 1961.
He was a devoted and pas- sionate and caring husband of Pearlie, who is also a retired Elementary School Teacher in the Hillsborough County School System, and the father
