Mentors Guiding Young Men To Aviation Careers

Robert (Bob) Massey and Joseph (Joe) Lundy have been friends and men- tors for many years. Because of their interest to guide young men as mentors, their friendship has grown.
Massey is known for his Road Ready Tours, while Lundy heads an organiza- tion M. A. L. E. (Master of Leadership & Excellence, Inc.), mentoring to young men.
They have taken groups of young men on various tours across the country.

Mart). “We are leaving at 4 a. m. It’s very important that we leave on time,” Massey said.
Massey and Lundy are excited about what the young men who attend the Aviation Institute of Maintenance learn in 22 months. Both of them have a student they’ve recommended attending the institute. One will graduate in the next few months, and another graduates next year.
“What I like about it is that the kids only need a high school diploma to enter. In 22 months, they have a de- gree and can make upwards of $30,000,” Massey said.

Massey in June of 2010. “Being the owner/opera- tor of Road Ready Tours, with the use of my motor coaches, I saw the opportu- nity to transport students and adults to various African American museums and his- torical sites throughout the
state of Florida and beyond. “Most children have never left their neighbor- hoods; therefore they be- come products of their environment, whether it's positive or negative,”
