VIVICA A. FOX
It’s almost that time again when the Tampa Bay com- munity gets prepared to be amazed and mesmerized during the annual production of the highly-anticipated hol- iday production, The Family Blessing. The production is sponsored by City of St. Pe- tersburg, Pinellas Commu- nity Foundation, Duke Energy and ARTZ 4 Life Academy.
This Annual Holiday Ex- travaganza is coming once again to the Duke Energy Center of Performing Arts at Mahaffey in St. Petersburg, December 21, 2019, 2:30 and 7:30 p. m.
The Family Blessing will be explosive with this year’s special talent guest star, Ms. Vivica A. Fox, who has
PAUL ANTHONY
been featured in blockbuster movies such as “Set it Off,” “Independence Day” and most recently featured in the Fox TV hit show, “Empire.”
Another special talent guest star returning to the show will be “Grammy Award Winning Artist,” Mr. Paul Anthony, famously known with the group Full Force and the hit movie House Party. These two artists will host the produc- tion and will set the stage for many other talented local youth and artists.
Together, these artists combine colorful and daz- zling styles of dance, music and theater to tell the story of how a young girl’s dream and her grandmother’s vivid memories, help her to appre- ciate the true Blessings of Family. The story line chron- icles young Aliyah’s journey to find inspiration, love and hope for her grandmother, Zola. The Family Blessing excites and energizes audi- ences of all ages.
In addition to their suc- cessful careers, Ms. Vivica A. Fox and Mr. Anthony serve on the National Board of Moffit Cancer Foundation. As cancer survivors, both Mr. Anthony and Family Blessing creator and director, Jai Hinson know first-hand the struggles of battling this disease and the importance of inspiring and encouraging others.
The Family Blessing a 20- year production, weaves Bal- let, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, African Dance, Salsa, Irish Clogging, Native Dancing, Mexican Folklorico, Brazilian Samba, and Bollywood dance into an exotic tapestry of light, color, music and move- ment as we follow young Aliyah’s journey from the streets of Harlem to the Is- land of Cuba, the mountains of Mexico, South America’s rainforests, Brazil’s Carnival, West Africa’s Villages, and India’s Bollywood.
