Detectives Ask For Help In 2015 Shooting
Arrest Made In Hit-And-Run Death Of Elderly Woman

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man sought for the hit-and-run death of an elderly woman.
On October 6th, Janice Joy, 74, was struck and killed by a vehicle that left the scene.
As the result of a thorough investigation, 37-year-old Jarvis Kendrick was ar- rested and charged with leav- ing the scene of a crash involving death, and tamper- ing with evidence.
Ms. Joy was walking on Duff Road near Sheffield Drive at 6:30 a. m., when she was hit by a truck that didn’t stop or call for help. A driver in an- other car witnessed the inci- dent, and honked at the driver who briefly hit the brakes, but kept going.
Ms. Joy had Alzheimer’s disease, lived alone, but did have a neighbor that typically took care of her.
Suspects Enter Victim’s Home While They’re Sleeping

On August 29, 2015 at 12:26 a. m., Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies re- ported that Angela Morales, 37, answered the front door at her home at 12924 Fennway Ridge Drive in Riverview after hearing several knocks.
Deputies said several shots were fired, striking Morales several times. The suspects then entered a 4-door dark colored sedan that was wait- ing and fled the area.
Morales was hospitalized in critical condition after the shooting, and survived her injuries.

Suspects Sought In Pawn Shop Robbery
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reported that between October 10th at 10:30 p. m. and October 11th at 6 a. m., suspects retrieved a garage door opener from an unsecured vehicle at 2204 Herndon Street in Dover.
The suspects entered the victim’s home through an unlocked garage door while the homeowners were sleep- ing.
The suspects reportedly took a laptop, a Fossil watch, and a wallet containing credit cards.
On October 11th at 7:30 a. m., the suspects started using the victim’s credit cards at two Walmart Stores at 1208 East Brandon Boule- vard, and 11720 E Dr. MLK, Jr. Boulevard, and the To- bacco Depot in Plant City.
The suspects were de- scribed as two white males and a white female, and they were seen leaving in a vehi- cle described as possibly being a Black Kia Sorento.

This is a surveillance photo of suspects robbing a Value Pawn Store.
According to Tampa Po- lice, on October 17th at 6:54 p. m., three masked men en- tered Value Pawn, 3102 West Hillsborough Avenue.
After entering the pawn shop, police said the sus- pects, one of them armed with a handgun, ordered everyone to the floor. They then used a hammer style tool to shatter a glass case containing jewelry. Approxi- mately $10,000 to $20,000 worth of jewelry was taken. The suspects then fled in what was described as an older model silver Honda Ac- cord, possible tag number 532BVR. A fourth suspect
was driving the vehicle the suspects fled in.
The suspects have been de- scribed as Black males, one wearing a black ski mask a second wearing a red ban- danna over his face, and a third wearing a blue ban- danna over his face.

ANTHONY GREEN
The St. Petersburg Police Department reports that at 10:49 p. m., Monday, Officer Anthony Green, 36, was ar- rested and charged with driving under the influence.
A Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy found Green sleeping behind the wheel and stopped on Gulf Boulevard and Madeira Way. He was in his personal car.
This was the second DUI ar- rest for Green, the first occur- ring in 2009.
Green was hired by the St. Petersburg Police Department in February 2005.
