Fatal Shooting At Apartment Complex
Bank Robbery Suspect Throws Money Out Window
  Under Investigation
Police arrested a 31-year- old man last week and charged him with several charges. He was taken into custody after leading police on a chase.
According to police, An- quan DeWayne Walters, entered the Hancock Bank, 28163 U. S. Highway 19, Thursday evening. He was carrying a black handgun when he jumped over the counter and ordered the peo- ple to give him the money.
After obtaining the money, Walters allegedly fled from the bank and got into a 1998 Toyota. As Wal- ters fled the scene, several
speed. Deputies were able to stop the vehicle. Walters lost control of the vehicle and ran into a 2009 Kia Sportage, driven by Ms. Caroline Ka- hael, and a 2006 GMC Yukon, driven by Randy Donaldson.
Walters reportedly jumped out of the car and fled on foot. He was arrested near 34601 Countryside Blvd.
He was charged with armed robbery, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, leaving the scene of a crash involving an injury and leav- ing the scene of a crash with property damage.
 The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently in- vestigating a fatal shooting. The investigation is taking place at 4200 E. Fletcher Av- enue, at the Flats Apartments.
According to police, deputies responded to the lo- cation around 9:45 p.m., Sat- urday night. When they arrived, they discovered a vic- tim had been shot once. The
victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Police have not released the name of the victim, pend- ing notification of his next of kin. They stated that all of the witnesses are cooperating and there is no threat to the pub- lic.
The investigation is con- tinuing.

Women Wanted For Credit Card Thefts Arrested In Texas

A 2-month investigation has resulted in the arrests of 34 people. Police also recov- ered more than $90,000 in new items, along with five pounds of marijuana and other stolen items.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, the Home Depot Corporation reported a total loss of $2.4 million in power tools over a 1 year period. The loss repre- sented thefts from its stores in Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, and Sun City Center.
The investigation took place April 19th and 20th, in Hillsborough County. Detec- tives targeted the shoplifting suspects, known as “boost- ers,” as they visited the stores. A total of 21 people were taken into custody.
Police learned that 4 peo- ple, known as “fences,” were purchasing the stolen items. On April 24th the Sheriff’s Of- fice executed search warrants simultaneously at the homes of Joshua Burr, 31, Kyle Walters, 38, Duane

Gutherie, 47, and 34-year- old Aaron Orr. They were considered the four main fences in the operation.
Police said the boosters would steal the items from the stores. It would then be sold through social media using: OfferUp, Let Go, and Face- book Marketplace.
More than 90,000 items new in the box was recovered, along with $30,000 in cash, 5.2 pounds of marijuana, a stolen boat, a stolen boat trailer, a 2013 Dodge Chal- lenger, a 2004 Dixie Chopper lawn mower, and a 2010 Honda, among other items.
Two women who went on a crime spree in Tampa, tak- ing wallets and purses from offices and businesses, have been arrested on similar charges in Houston, Texas. The two women now face charges in both states.
The incident in Tampa took place in March. During a two-day crime spree, the women made several pur- chases using stolen credit cards taken in Tampa.
The women have been identified as Jennifer Mae Gamble, 22, and Jessica Wakefield, 25. Both are residents of Houston, TX.
Police Investigate Sexual Misconduct Allegation
Law enforcement is cur- rently investigating allegations of sexual misconduct at a high school. The incident report- edly took place at Plant City High School, in Plant City.
The investigation is being conducted by the Plant City Police Department, and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Information regarding the complaint was limited. How- ever, police said the incident concerns misconduct by one of the coaches associated with wrestling and track. The unidentified coach has been dismissed from the position. No other information was available at press time.
