Lawyer For Alleged Victim Will Continue Fight In Domestic Assault Case Against Trey Songz
Dr. Dre Loses Trademark Suit Against Gynecologist
Andre ‘Dr. Dre Young and Dr. Draion ‘Dr. Drai’ Burch.
The legal battle that Trey Songz (real name Tremaine Aldon Neverson) appeared to have won on Friday may not be over. Andrea Buera’s at- torney, Lisa Bloom, told the JasmineBrand that she is none too pleased with prosecutors decision.
The prosecutors in Los An- geles will have to explain how they charged Trey Songz with a felony, then a misdemeanor, then dropped everything, even though Andrea Buera imme- diately went to the hospital and contacted the police after the alleged assault.
In our system, too often, money talks. She also notes that the legal battle isn’t over for Songz.
We are just getting started in our fight for justice against Trey Songz.
Trey Songz was charged with domestic assault against Andrea Buera, however the charges were dropped on Friday.
Hip Hop has always had more than one "Dr. Dre." There's André "Doctor Dré" Brown from Yo! MTV Raps, and then there's the leg- endary producer/entrepreneur Andre "Dr. Dre" Young.
Apparently, Young took issue with yet another person with a similar sounding name. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer filed legal paperwork to pre- vent Pennsylvania resident
Draion M. Burch from trademarking “Doctor Drai OBGYN & Media Personality."
The trademark office sided with Dr. Drai over Dr. Dre, giving the gynecologist the ability to use the moniker to promote his business. Be- sides making several appear- ances on television, Burch is also the author of 20 Things You May Not Know About The Penis.
As previously reported, the 33-year-old singer will not be charged in his domestic assault case, according to reports. Last month, the Los Angeles Dis- trict Attorney rejected the felony case and on Friday, the Los Angeles City Attorney de-
clined to file misdemeanor charges.
During NBA All Star Week- end in February, Buera claimed that the singer physi- cally attacked her at a private party. She shared her allega- tions at a press conference.

An organization steeped in journalism is going after the Las Vegas Police Department, in order to get them to release documents related to Tupac Shakur's murder.
The Center for Investigative Reporting is after the police department's records related to the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur.
The lawsuit asserts that the Nevada Open Records Act compels the LVPD to hand over the documents, but they have been stalling.

vestigative Reporting's re- quest, the cops provided a sim- ple two-page document.
During their quest for the police reports, the Las Vegas Police Department told The Center for Investigative Re- porting that Tupac's murder is still subject of an ongoing in- vestigation.
The Center for Investigative Reporting's lawsuit is asking a judge to rule in their favor, so they can get their hands on any documents related to Tupac's murder, which they claim is of great "historical importance."
Lil Durk, Tee Grizzley Added To Rolling Loud Miami Festival This Weekend
In season 1 of the Netflix se- ries “Dear White People” we learned about the racial issues at the fictional predominantly white institution of Winchester University.
The finale ended with chaos breaking out during a campus protest where the school’s black student body president was ar- rested in front of everyone. In Vol. 2, expect to see more situ- ations that involve identity pol- itics, internet trolls and social awareness.
The cast members are:
Logan Browning (Saman-
tha White,) Brandon P. Bell (Troy Fairbanks,) An- toinette Robertson (Coco Conners,) and Marque Richardson (Reggie Green)
Browning’s character “Sam” was on the receiving end of online trolling and inter- net harassment. That will be one of the themes continuing into season 2. Mirroring some of the experiences series and the film’s creator Justin Simien experienced following it’s release.
The show began streaming on May 4th.
