BLM Members Sue Police Because Secret Unit Had Them Under Surveillance
CLARKSTOWN, NY —Five people are filing a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Town of Clarkstown in Rockland County.
All five are members of the group Black Lives Matter and they say a secret unit in the po- lice department conducted il- legal surveillance on them, treating them as if they were gang members or drug dealers.
Vanessa Green and Jer- lyne Colixte along with three other members of Black Lives Matter in Rockland County claim in a federal lawsuit that they were illegally targeted for surveillance, sometimes at ral- lies, based on their race and critical commentary of the treatment of people of color by police.
"That was the reason, that

what they did was illegal, that's the reason we brought this lawsuit," said William Wagstaff, defense attorney.
In their complaint filed in federal district court in White Plains, the members allege, "The Clarkstown Police De- partment attended peaceful Black Lives Matter rallies in-
timidating the plaintiffs by po- sitioning snipers on rooftops.” The lawsuit helps confirm the way Black Lives Matter members are being dealt with by law enforcement. Last week, it was revealed that the FBI has created a new category of domestic terrorists: "black
identity extremists."
Officer In S. C. After Traffic Stop
KINGSTREE, SC — An 86- year-old unarmed black mo- torist in Kingstree was jolted with a Taser because the white police officer who stopped him worried that the wandering dementia patient would be hit by a car.
Albert Chatfield re- mained hospitalized in inten- sive care Friday, four days after being injured during the confrontation in the small town two hours north of Charleston, family members said.
His loved ones and their at- torney say the officer’s use of force as unconstitutional and unnecessary in corralling an elderly motorist who posed no threat to police.
Chatfield suffered bleed- ing on his brain and a broken nose, likely from hitting the pavement when he fell, fam- ily attorney Justin Bam- berg of Orangeburg said Friday after speaking with

The Kingstree Police De- partment said it would not charge Chatfield because of his medical predicament. An incident report lists a poten- tial crime as “acting disor- derly.”

YORK, PA —- Police said the son of York Mayor Kim Bracey was charged with as- sault last week after he punched and stomped the politician.
Bracey says her son is bat- tling an opioid addiction but cops didn’t say what, if any- thing, provoked the alleged at- tack at her campaign office.
The reports quoted police as saying Brandon Anderson, 30, of York, was charged with punching his mother in the face, knocking her to the ground, and then stomping on her back, head and face while she was down.

Activist Thrown Off American Airlines Plane By Pilot
Activist Tamika D. Mal- lory said Sunday that she was unfairly kicked off of an American Airlines flight over a seating dispute.
Mallory, known for her work as national co-chair of the Women’s March move- ment, was on a flight from Miami to New York when the incident occurred. According to the activist, she spoke with a gate agent who was “nasty” and “disrespectful” about an issue with her seat assign- ment.
During the exchange, Mallory said the pilot of the flight came over to scold her behavior and told her that she was going to get a “one-way ticket off this plane.”
After Mallory eventually boarded the flight, she said the pilot made an announce- ment asking her to come to the front of the plane. He then allegedly pointed toward her and said, “Her, off.”

Cheerleaders At Private Jewish School Recorded Chanting N-Word
OGDEN, UT — An incident involving a group of cheerlead- ers from a jewish private school in Ogden, UT has gained attention after the teenagers were exposed for chanting racial slurs. The Salt Lake Tribune reports the teens from Weber High School filmed themselves during a road trip last fall. During their ride, the teens recorded them- selves saying “serggin cuff,” or “f**k ni****s” in reverse.
After one of the teens shared the post on Instagram, outraged classmates ripped the video and uploaded it to Twit- ter and YouTube.
District spokesman Lane Findlay had a benefit of the doubt type of response to the video, explaining that the teens weren’t on school property and explained yet again that the racial slur was said in re-

An updated statement made
things worse when the whole “kids will be kids” schtick was used. “We also wish to remind everyone that these are kids, and sometimes kids do really stupid things without think- ing,” the statement said.
