      MRS. MAMIE RUTH WASHINGTON ASHBY
Mrs. Mamie Ruth Washington Ashby, 70, of Tampa, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 27, 2018.
Funeral Services will be con- ducted Saturday, September 22nd at2p.m.,atSt.JamesA.M.E. Church, 5202 S. 86th Street, Tampa, FL.
Mamie was born in Live Oak, Florida to Joe Washington and Ruth Ivey Washington Houston. She was a 1965 graduate of Howard W. Blake High School, and a 1969 graduate of Bethune- Cookman University with a B. A. degree in Foreign Language and English.
Mamie was employed by the School District of Hillsborough County for over 44 years. Her dis- tinguished career included teach- ing Spanish, English, and ESOL in middle and high schools, as well as in adult education and night school programs.
She was an active member of Mt. Zion A. M. E. Church; a mem- ber of Alpha Kappa Alpha Soror- ity, Inc.; Bethune-Cookman University and Howard W. Blake High School Alumni Associations; and various civic and professional organizations.
Mamie was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Marva Brown; and brothers Thomas Hills, George Washington, Willie Washington, and Ervin Washing- ton, Sr.
She is survived by: husband, Gregory Ashby; daughters, Akilah Graham-Allen (Greg) and Jasmine Ashby Belton (Marlon); brothers, Lee Washington (Ruby), and Lon- nie Houston (Shirley); sister, Viola Archbold (Kenny); sisters- in-law, Sanook Washington, Eartha Hills, Coralee Elrington, and Sandra Carney; brother-in- law, Derek Ashby; grandchildren, Jamie Leggett, Noah Allen, Jonah Allen, Nylah Allen, and Gregory Allen, of Tampa, FL; stepchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, September 21st, and the wake will be held from 6:30-7:30 p. m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, Tampa, FL.

MRS. BETTY J. BOSTICK
Mrs. Betty J. Bostick, of Tampa, passed away September 5, 2018.
Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, September 15, at 11 a. m. at St. Mark Missionary Bap- tist Church, 7221 S. Sherrill St., with Reverend Correggio Reaves, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Betty was a native of Paint Rock, Alabama and was educated in the public schools of Jackson County. She was a graduate of Carver High School in Scottsboro AL.
In 1969, she united in holy mat- rimony with Howard Allen Bostick, Sr., and to this union two children were born, Howard Jr. and Angela.
Betty accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Mark M. B. Church when she relocated to Tampa. She remained a faithful member until her passing. Betty served as a Sunday School teacher, a member of Choir #1, the Usher Board #1, and was Chairman of the Trustee Board.
She was employed with the U. S. Postal Service for over 30 years, where she retired as a Bulk Mail Supervisor. During her retirement she worked in the Hillsborough County School System for a num- ber of years.
In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, traveling, and being a grandmother.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Charles and Alice Lovelady; brothers, Jerry Love- lady, Thealbert “Buddy” Lovelady, Charles Lovelady, Clifton Lovelady, and Sherman Campbell; beloved nieces, Michelle Lovelady, Tracy Lovelady, and Chinita Bostick.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ory: loving husband, Howard A. Bostick, Sr.; son, Howard A. Bo- stick, Jr. (Nicole); daughter, Angela Hills (Marlon); grandchildren, Jas- mine Hills, Marlon Hills, Jr., Dar- ius Bostick, Damarcus Bostick; sisters, Dorothy Brazelton, Bertha Lovelady, Alice Ruth Dortch, Max- ine Campbell; brothers, David Lovelady, Rayburn Lovelady, and Maurice Campbell; godson, Mark Williams, Jr.; aunt, Margaret Sam- mons (OH); uncle, Calvin Sam- mons (TX); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The remains will repose 5 p. m.-8 p. m., Friday September 14, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

MR. WILTON ANDERSON
Wilton Anderson of Brandon, FL, peacefully answered the call of his loving Savior as he departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Septem- ber 5, 2018 with family by his side.
Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, September 15, at 10 a. m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, Pastor, Larry J. Mouton Jr., Pastor, with Minister Bruce Bryant, eulogist. Interment will be held Monday, September 17th at 10:30 a. m. at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
Wilton was a native of Fort Worth, Texas and a graduate of Longview High School, Longview, TX. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of honorable service.
Although he had many accom- plishments throughout his life and career, Wilton was best known for his positive attitude, warmth and unconditional love he had for his family and friends. He was a mem- ber of New Hope M. B. Church where he attended services regu- larly, taught Sunday School, Vaca- tion Bible School, previously taught Junior Boys Bible Study, Youth Min- istry classes and was the Vice Presi- dent of the Baptist Training Union. He also participated with joy in the Feeding the Homeless Ministry and he served on the Ministry to the Pas- tor’s Committee under the leader- ship of Rev. Dr. T. W. Jenkins, Pastor Emeritus.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James and Archie Anderson; grandparents, W. D. and Martha Anderson and Moody and Myrtle Lockhart; and a special cousin like a brother, Donald An- derson.
He leaves to cherish treasured memories: his devoted wife, Dellar- ine; his children, Aysia Anderson and LaToya Anderson, New York; sister, LaTanya (Philip) Johnson; special nieces, Kia Haywood (Steven), Yeulanda Degala (Satish), and Tikila Brown; special nephew, Ryan Anderson; special cousins, Michael Anderson (Shayla) and Cathy Lawson (Stanley); aunts, Doris Adams and Betty Anderson; great niece, Layla Haywood; great nephews, Dylan and Braylan Hay- wood; mother-in-law, Retha Brown; sisters and brothers-in-law; Bessie (Don) Carrie, Janie McCarthy, Mozella Dublin, Larry Brown, Shirley Brown, Andre Brown, Jacquelyn Brown, Wesley Brown, Carol Pompey (Randy) and Angela Brown; godsister, NaTanya Miller; a host of extended nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members, friends at C. A. C. I., Seffner Chris- tian Academy and New Hope Church Family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, 12092 Magnolia Drive MBC - SOUNG, TPA 33612 or Life Path Hospice.
The visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, from 6 to 8 p. m. at New Hope M. B. Church, 3005 E. Ellicott.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the church at 9:45 a. m., for the service.

MR. THOMAS GREGORY FRIERSON
Mr. Thomas Gregory Frierson, 57, passed away at his home on Monday, September 10, 2018.
Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, September 15 at 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Thomas was the firstborn son of the late Thomas and Lola Mae Frierson.
He was preceded in death by: one sister, Ann Marie Frierson. Greg grew up and attended the public schools of Hillsborough County, and was a graduate of Jef- ferson High School, Class of 1979. He worked at Track Microwave and Winn Dixie companies. Greg was friendly and was a devoted friend to all he met. He loved his family, but especially his grand- children.
He leaves to cherish his mem- ory: his son. Thomas Edward (Cas- sandra); and one daughter, Katrina Frierson; five grandchil- dren, all of Tampa; two sisters, Irma (John) Sheard of Tallahas- see; and Thomasina (Steve) Bran- non, of Tampa; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and de- voted friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, September 14, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

MRS. CASSIE M. JONES
Mrs. Cassie M. Jones of Tampa passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018.
Funeral services will be con- ducted Saturday, September 15 at 11 a. m. at New Friendship M. B. Church, 3201 E. Lake Avenue, with Reverend Dr. H. L. Daniels, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mrs. Cassie Jones was a native of Worth County, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for over 62 years. She was educated in the public schools of Worth County and Hillsborough County. Mrs. Jones was a member of New Friendship M. B. Church and re- tired as a Technician from Group Technologies, Inc. She was a member of the Eastern Star Local chapter and a Prayer Warrior local member .
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Johnnie B. Jones; son, Johnnie Jones (Sharon); daughters, Patricia A. Canady, Barbara J. Westry and Sheree Parsons (Oliver); brother, Eddie W. Canady of Atlanta, GA; granddaughters, Ashanda Jack- son (Derek), Sonia Davis (Omar), Angel B. Jones, Dr. Solita R. Jones, Jazmyne Jones, Jordin Jones; grandsons, David A. Mc- Cauley, Oscar L. McCauley, Willie C. Johnson, Cedric Davis (An- gela), Johnnie Jones, Jamaal Jones and Travis Jones; a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
