Drew Brees Off To Hot Start In Return From Thumb Surgery
Eagles Star Fletcher Cox Scares Off Would-Be Burglar With Shotgun
FLETCHER COX
A baseball bat-wielding man tried to break into the home of the Philadelphia Ea- gles’ Fletcher Cox last week — but the hulking defensive tackle scared him off with a shotgun, according to a new report.
Corbyn Nyemah al- legedly was looking for his ex- girlfriend at Cox’s Mullica Hill mansion, which Nyemah tried to enter by throwing rocks through the front door after midnight Oct. 15, accord- ing to court papers obtained by 6ABC Action News.
The home’s surveillance cameras showed Nyemah stalking the property with a baseball bat in hand and try- ing to enter the garage multi- ple times, the network reported.
He also allegedly damaged the ex-girlfriend’s car.
Cox, who was home at the time, grabbed a shotgun and called police — prompting Nyemah to take off in a Porsche SUV and lead cops on a chase that ended at the Commodore Barry Bridge.
Nyemah was arrested by US Marshals late last week. He was charged with burglary, two counts of criminal mis- chief and resisting arrest, ac- cording to NJ.com.

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton left open the door on Friday for Teddy Bridgewater to make one more start before Drew Brees returned to the starting lineup, but Brees was back on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
And if Brees was affected by missing five games and playing with his right thumb still wrapped, it certainly hasn’t looked like it in the first half.
The 40-year-old was 13-for- 16 for 123 yards after the Saints’ first touchdown, an 8-yard run by Latavius Murray.
The touchdown put New Or- leans up 10-3 over Arizona.
Brees has already com- pleted passes to six receivers, including four each to Mur- ray, who has been getting more playing time with Alvin Kamara sidelined, and
New Orleans Saints quarter- back Drew Brees, with a wrap on his surgically-repaired right thumb, returned to the starting lineup on Sunday.
Michael Thomas.
And he didn’t slow down: New Orleans pulled away from Arizona in the second half, win- ning 31-9 to record their sixth straight win.
Buccaneers’ Dare Ogunbowale Wiped Out By Own Teammate
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers don’t really look like they know what they’re doing right now.
The Buccaneers produced the funniest play of the week so far on an ugly miscommunication that saw running back Dare Ogunbowale smash right into wide receiver Breshad Perri- man.
Somebody obviously missed something here. Perriman was in motion when the ball was snapped, and absolutely smashed into Ogunbowale.
Whether he was late or shouldn’t have moved at all is anyone’s guess. If nothing else, it’s proof that Jameis Win-

ston’s offense is a mess.
On the bright side, we’re guessing that this was just a mistake and not the result of some weird Bruce Arians
logic.
LeBron James’ Hair Falls Out
During Lakers Game,
Anthony Davis Helps Out
Each summer LeBron James comes back with a fresh hairline in a miraculous recovery that appears to mirror the longetivity of his own ca- reer in the NBA. James clearly takes time out of his busy sum- mer schedule to get plugs, and over the course of the regular season his headband slowly slides up the top of his head as they recede.
But there are big expecta- tions for the Los Angeles Lak- ers this year, and so perhaps the stress is already affecting James physically? During Sat- urday night’s game against the

Utah Jazz, James’ hairline could be seen actively receding. In fact, a video of the game showed that teammate An- thony Davis was telling Le- bron his hair was falling out.
