Author Casey Curry will be hosting a Book Talk on Sat- urday, January 5, 2019. The 2- 4 p. m. event is being held in conjunction with Robert W. Saunders, Sr. Public Library, and will be held at that site, 1505 N. Nebraska Ave. (Tampa 33602). The Book Talk will be held in the Ada T. Payne Com- munity Room A.
Mrs. Curry, author of 2 other books, will talk about her recently released novel, “A Pil- lar Of Fire.” The novel is a se- quel to “Promises,” a novel she released in 2014. She released “A Pillar of Fire,” 2 months ago, and it answers questions that many posed after reading “Promises.”
Those who enjoyed “Promises” constantly inquired as to when the sequel would be released.
However, following her passion for writing, educating students in Creative Writing at Howard W. Blake High School and keeping up with her family as a wife and mother, Mrs. Curry’s time was very chal- lenging. She spent 4 years fi- nalizing the chapters.
Just weeks before “A Pillar of Fire” was released, Mrs. Curry and her husband, Bruce Curry, were in New York to support their daughter, Taylor Raye Curry (writer and director), whose short film,

El Roi, had won a screening at the Cannes Film Festival
“Promises” was narrated by the heroine, Pamela, while “A Pillar of Fire” is narrated by Pamela’s deceased father, Jonas.
As an author, Mrs. Curry has traveled across the nation as a speaker, and signing books for book clubs.
“The experience has been phenomenal and life-chang- ing,” she said, “but not nearly as phenomenal and life-chang- ing as finishing something I began as a passion.”
“A Pillar of Fire” can be purchased at Amazon.com or via her website at Casey- Curry.org.
Mrs. Curry’s first pub- lished work, I Remember You Today, was an interactive pic- ture book for children dealing with loss and grief.
