RAY WILLIAMS
MRS. ROSALYN D. RAMSEY
Mrs. Rosalyn D. Ramsey of Tampa transitioned on Sun- day, December 30, 2018. Fu- neral services will be conducted Saturday, January 5at2p.m.atMt.TaborM.B. Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, with Pastor T. D. Leonard, of- ficiating. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Ramsey was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsbor- ough County. Sister Ramsey was a dedicated and loyal member of Mt. Tabor M. B. Church for over 10 years. She served with the General Mis- sion “Manna Ministry” and was actively involved in the Sunday School Ministry. Her profession as a painter was highly acknowledged by her peers and staff at the St. Pete Times Forum.
Sister Ramsey was pre- ceded in death by: her parents, mother, Doris Jackson and fa- ther, John Weston.
She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories with: her husband of 30 years, Richard Ramsey; two daughters, Doshia Ramsey and Elnora Ramsey; sisters-in-law, Jessie Mae Hunter (Benjamin), Re- becca Bligen (Benjamin), and Mable Jackson; brothers-in- law, Simon Ramsey (Anna Belle), and Edward Gregory Snipe; godson, Tyree Boone; goddaughter, Nia Canida; god- sister, Cheryl Jackson; special friends, Terri Russell, Lillian Lovett and the Jefferson fam- ily; as well as a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m. Friday, January 4 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.

DEACON JOSEPH BROWN, JR.
A Celebration of Life service for Deacon Joseph Brown, Jr. will be held on Saturday, Janu- ary 5, 2019, 12 Noon at St. John Cathedral, 3401 E. Bishop Eddie Newkirk Way, Tampa, FL 33605, with Pastor Dwight Newkirk, officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Deacon Joseph Brown, Jr. was born May 15, 1940 in Blakely, Georgia to the union of the late Joseph and Wessie Mae Mallard Brown, Sr. He was edu- cated in the Early County Public School System. He moved to Tampa, FL in 1961 where he set- tled and made this home.
Deacon Brown was a faithful servant of God for over 70 years. He was a leader and dedicated member of St. John Cathedral. Deacon Brown went home to the Savior on December 28, 2018.
He was preceded in death by: his beautiful and loving wife of 56 years, Elder Mary Helen Jacobs Brown; brothers, Lus- cious Brown, Sr., Connie C. Brown and John C. Brown.
He leaves to cherish affec- tionate and enduring memories
with: children, Carolyn D. Nel- son, Marilyn P. Spruell (Ben- jamin), Derek R. Brown, Joseph E. Brown, and Cassandra Queen (Willie), all of Tampa; grand- children, Vera N. Brown, Ashley M. MRS. MARTHA HALL HIGHSMITH
Mrs. Martha Hall Highsmith of Tampa was called to her Heav- enly home on Wednesday, De- cember 19, 2018 at Gandy Crossing Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Satur- day, January 5 at 11 a. m. at Mount Tabor M. B. Church, 2606 W. Grace St., with Pastor T. D. Leonard, officiating.
Martha was a native of Pom- pano Beach, FL and moved to Tampa, FL in 1952, where she grew up in the Hyde Park and West Tampa area. She attended Dobyville/Carver public schools and graduated from Blake High School in 1964.
Martha was married to the late Cleveland “Luke” Highsmith and from that union they had two children, Twanda and Aaron. She retired from the food service industry (Picadilly Cafeteria).
Martha left Tampa for a while and moved to Mississippi to be with her daughter and grand- daughter, where she attended Antioch Baptist Church, D’Iberville, MS, Pastor, Rev- erend Maurice Davis. Martha came back to Florida four years later and reunited with Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. She faithfully helped serve and feed the homeless every second Thursday of the month with General Mission Cir- cles Number 2 & 3 until her health began to fail. Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm and favorite Hymn, Near The Cross. She also loved to read and study the Bible.
She will be joining those who preceded her in death: father, Elder Arthur Hall, Sr.; mother, Mayzuria Hill Hall; husband, Cleveland “Luke” Highsmith; sis- ters, Mary Lee Daniels and Sally Cordova; brother, Eddie Hall.
She leaves behind to cherish fond memories: daughter, Twanda Highsmith of Biloxi, MS; son, Aaron Highsmith of Tampa, FL; loving grandchildren, Antwain Robinson, Yaminee Robinson, Angel Highsmith, Ayanna Highsmith, Amayah Robinson, and Arianna Robin- son; sisters, Ann Hall Gordon, Ethel Hall, Tina Hall, Lois Hall Jones, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Car- olyn Hall Foreman and husband, Elder Cleveland Foreman, Port St. Lucie, FL and Sherry Hall, At- lanta, GA; brothers, Arthur Hall, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth Hall, Leonard Edwards, all of Tampa, and Elder Philip Hall, Ft. Laud- erdale, FL; aunt, Virginia Hall, Atlanta, GA; special friends, Willie Ruth Daniels and Sandra Williams; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

MR. HAROLD PAUL SHELBY
Mr. Harold Paul Shelby of Tampa passed away Friday, De- cember 21, 2018. Funeral serv- ices will be conducted Saturday, January5at11a.m.atNew Salem M. B. Church, 8525 N. 78th St., with Reverend George Mar- tin, Interim Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Harold Paul Shelby was a native of Tampa, FL and was ed- ucated in the Hillsborough County Public Schools. Harold served in the United States Army shortly after the end of World War II. After his two and 1⁄2 years of military service, Harold moved to New York where he resided for over 45 years. While living in New York, he worked for the Barash Company as an equipment operator for 10 years. He started his own transporta- tion business (Shelby Cab Serv- ice) until returning to live in Florida in 1995.
Harold accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal savior and served on the Usher Board at Shiloh Baptist Church in New York until he retired to St. Pe- tersburg, FL, where he served on the Trustee Board, Usher Board and was the Maintenance Direc- tor at Bethel Metropolitan Bap- tist Church, St. Petersburg, FL.
He later moved to Tampa, where he served as an Emeritus Deacon and sang in the Male Choir at New Salem M. B. Church.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Curtis and Lucille Shelby; aunt and uncle, Bernice and Henry Scott; sister, Gaye Stewart; niece, Kim Stewart; and nephew, Russel Williams.
He leaves to mourn his cher- ished memory: daughter, Stephanie Shelby of Tampa; 2 sons, Terrence (Stephanie) Shelby of NY and Harold Paul (Tonya) Shelby of MD; sisters, Gwendolyn Stockton of CA and Sandra Stewart of MI; grandchil- dren, Terrence Shelby, II, Tyema Shelby, Kaimara Shelby, and Tionne Shelby; great grandson, King Rush; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, January4at5p.m.atRay Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
