Youngster Has A Second Heart and Dreams
Of A Second Wish
Legacy Prep Students Visit The Capitol
Eighteen students from Legacy Preparatory Academy traveled to Tallahas- see last week to tour the Capitol, Florida State University and Florida A&M Uni- versity. The students and teachers were recognized and announced during the Legislative session. (Photographs by Julia Jackson)

Just a few days left to help Andrew realize his second wish.
Meet Andrew G. from Walker, Louisiana! Now 16 years old, An- drew was born with a hypo-plastic left heart. He had his first repair at two weeks old, his second soon after, and was then diagnosed with car- diomyopathy.
Despite previously receiving a heart transplant, in 2015 on Christ- mas night, Andrew’s body had re- jected the heart and he needed another transplant.
In 2016, Andrew received his sec- ond heart and was put on dialysis. Thankfully, the new heart is finally working. His immune system is still very low which causes him to get sick easily and he is still battling kidney is- sues, but Andrew is full of joy and is an incredibly strong young man!
Andrew needs another uplifting experience. His sprits have been low with all of the hospital stays during the past year and he has been so ex- cited to know that his wish is coming true of going to Disney World, Uni- versal Studios, and Busch Gardens with his family.
