Hillsborough Community College Appoints New Dean
Dr. Keith Berry, In- terim Dean of Academic Af- fairs at HCC since the fall of 2015, has been appointed as the permanent Dean of Aca- demic Affairs at the Ybor City Campus.
Dr. Berry is a 1987 grad- uate of Florida A & M Univer- sity, who holds a MA, and a Ph.D., from Florida State University.
Dr. Berry is entering his 20th year at the college, where he taught American History for twenty years before enter- ing the administrative ranks.

Grant Writing Workshops Planned For April
The Center for Non-Profit and Community Develop- ment, Inc., will host three free professional grant-writ- ing workshops. The work- shops will be held on three separate dates during the month of April.
The topics of discussion this month are: “How To Start A Nonprofit”, “How To Prepare A Grant,” and “How To Prepare A Business Plan.”
The first workshop will take place on Thursday, April, 27, 2017, from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., at the Chil- dren’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Av- enue. The first hour discus- sion will be “How To Prepare A Business Plan.” The second hour dis- cussion will be a “Free Pro- fessional Grant Writing Workshop.”
The second workshop will take place on Friday, April 28, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This workshop will be held at the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, 1002 E. Palm Avenue.
The topics of the session are: “How To Start a 501c3 Non-Profit” and a “Free Professional Grant Writing Work- shop.”
The third workshop for the month will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It will be held at the West Tampa Public Library, 2312 W. Union Street.
The topics for the work- shops are: “How To Start A 501c3 Non-Profit,” and a “Free Professional Grant Writing Work- shop.”
