Shaquille O’Neal Donates House To Woman Whose Son Was Shot At Football Game

Shaq helps a family in need by donating a house to a family in need.
Former LSU basketball star Shaquille O’Neal has do- nated a home to an Atlanta woman whose 12-year-old son was shot at a football game and paralyzed from the chest down.
The family was living in a one-bedroom apartment that was not accessible for people with disabilities, but they now have a home in a better neigh- borhood. The home is fully fur- nished and Shaq will pay rent for the next year.
Two members of the board of pizza chain Papa John’s are also contributing funds, and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has shown

Sacramento Kings star Harrison Barnes has stepped up to pay for the fu- neral of Atatiana Jeffer- son, the Black woman who was shot and killed last Sat- urday morning by a white Fort Worth police officer while she was in her own home.
Before he joined the Kings, Barnes spent two-and-a- half years in Dallas as a mem- ber of the Mavericks, so he still feels a connection to his previous home city, as evi- dent by the generous gesture Barnes and his wife made to Jefferson’s family.

NBA Season Starts Tuesday With Double Header
The NBA on Aug. 12 re- leased its complete game schedule and broadcast schedules for TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBA TV and ESPN Radio for the 2019-20 regular season. The league’s 74th reg- ular season will tip off on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, and conclude on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
