Clippers Plan To Pursue Giannis Antetokounmpo As Free Agent

We’re a year away from Gi- annis Antetokounmpo’s potential free agency, but teams are already being linked to the Milwaukee Bucks star.
The Heat, Warriors, Rap- tors, and Mavericks are at least interested in making a run at Antetokounmpo in free agency.
Multiple league sources be- lieve the Los Angeles Clippers are planning to pursue the Greek superstar. That would give the team a fearsome core of Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George.
O’Connor does note that the Bucks are the “clear fa- vorite” to retain Antetokoun- mpo when he hits free agency.
Arron Afflalo Leading Group Trying To Buy Timberwolves

A new name has entered the fray in the effort to pur- chase the Minnesota Timber- wolves.
Former NBA player Arron Afflalo is leading a group of investors seeking to buy the Timberwolves and the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx.
The group is backed by en- trepreneur Jay Bloom, and is committed to keeping the fran- chise in Minnesota.
Afflalo believes his group has the money and NBA ties to offer a competitive bid. They are also emboldened after owner Glen Taylor’s talks with former Memphis minority owner Daniel Straus stalled, leaving the door open for new bidders.

Dead On Labor Day
Boxing prodigy Danny Gonzalez -- who signed with Floyd Mayweather's The Money Team in 2016 -- was shot and killed on Labor Day, officials confirm.
The 22-year-old was hanging out in Moreno Val- ley, CA on Sept. 7 around 9 PM when someone ap- proached the fighter and opened fire.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Dept. says deputies and paramedics responded to the scene where Gonzalez was pronounced dead.
Two other people who were with Danny (both teenagers) were transported to a nearby hospital where they were treated for non-life- threatening injuries, officials say.
An investigation is under- way ... so far, no suspects have been identified and cops say they have not determined
