ADVERTISEMENT Disposition of Vacant City-Owned Property
The City of Tampa ("City") gives notice pursuant to Part III, Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, of the request for submission of proposals for the purchase of vacant City-Owned properties.
The properties are located at:
1) 1015 East 15th Avenue, folio number 198295.0000
2) 2003 East 17th Avenue, folio number 187751.0000
3) 2005 East 17th Avenue, folio number 187750.0000
4) 1810 East 19th Avenue, folio number 187560.0000
5) 1812 East 19th Avenue, folio number 187559.0000
6) 2702 East 12th Avenue, folio number 188758.0000 and 7) 2709 East 17th Avenue, folio number 188373.0000
Properties are offered individually, on an “As Is” basis, but a party (“Responder”) may submit individual proposals to purchase multiple properties. A Responder is required to make a firm offer for a property, submit an earnest money deposit equaling 5% of the offered purchase price, and provide a completed and signed Land Sales Agreement and Project Proposal Form on the form provided by the City. Please type or print clearly the name(s) of the prospective Purchaser on both of the above stated documents as it would appear on the conveying deed. Limited liability companies, corporations and other non-natural persons must use a complete and accurate legal name. Do not make any changes on the Land Sales Agreement. Any conditions or modifications that are part of the proposal must be clearly typed or printed on a separate sheet titled “Addendum”.
The execution by the City of an accepted Land Sales Agreement must be approved by the Tampa City Council. The earnest money deposit will only be processed if the City approves a proposal for the purchase of one or more of the Properties. Upon acceptance of a proposal by the City and approval of execution of the Land Sales Agreement by the Tampa City Council, the earnest money deposit will be applied in the manner provided for in the Land Sales Agreement.
Responders are encouraged to submit proposals that are consistent with applicable laws, ordinances and regulations governing the location. All Responders must submit the City of Tampa Project Proposal Form, earnest money deposit and a completed and signed Land Sales Agreement within 30 days of the date of publication of the advertisement or by 4:00 p.m. on July 7th, 2017, whichever is later, to the City of Tampa Purchasing Department, 306 E. Jackson Street-2E, Tampa, Florida 33602. Mark the outside of the sealed envelope “RFP Disposition of Vacant City-Owned Property Located at: (Insert Applicable Address).”
To obtain a City of Tampa Project Proposal Form, a Land Sales Agreement form and other information applicable to these transactions, you may access the City website at http://www.tampagov.net/real-estate. If a Responder would like a Proposal package to be sent via U.S. mail, the Proposer should contact the Real Estate Division by calling (813) 274-7232.
In selecting a proposal, the City is not bound to make the award on the basis of the highest monetary offer. It is the City’s goal to strengthen the mission and stability of the residential community. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals in whole or in part, with or without cause, or to waive any informality of any proposals, cancel this request for proposals, and to make the award in the best interest of the City, subject to Tampa City Council approval.

MOBILITY FEE HEARING OFFICER
The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners on April 26, 2016, adopted the Hillsborough County Mobility Fee Program Ordinance (Chapter 40, Article III, County Code of Ordinances, Part A), which provides for the appointment of one or more Mobility Fee Hearing Officers to conduct hearings and render decisions regarding appeals under the Ordinance. Applicants must be Florida-licensed attorneys with at least five years of professional experience. Hearing Officers shall not hold appointive or elective office or a position in government during his or her term as a Hearing Officer. This is a personal services contract not to exceed $75,000 per year.
