TULSA, OK — - Surveil- lance video has been released in the killing of a Black men- tally-ill man armed with knives by law enforcement that led to protests Friday in Tulsa, Okla., following the shooting.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office says the encounter started on May 31 when the TCSO Mental Health Unit re- ceived a civil mental health pickup order to find 29-year- old Joshua Barre and then take him into custody for a mental health evaluation.
On June 1-9, the Mental Health Unit looked for and lo- cated Barre.
Friday, June 9, a neighbor saw Barre in the street armed with two large knives and two Tulsa County Deputies were requested for assistance.

PLAINSFIELD, NJ —- A 67-year-old woman was seri- ously injured when she fell through a sidewalk access door in New Jersey.
The fall happened around noon on Somerset Street in Plainfield. Surveillance video shows her on her cell phone when she walked into and flipped over the access door in front of Acme Windows. She fell 6 feet into a utility room.
She is legally blind, and di- abetic, according to the woman's son. "She regularly schedules her meals and checks her sugar," said the
son, who did not give his name. "As far as I was told, when she was walking down the street, she felt a little nau- seous in a sense, and looked at her phone to see what time it was.
"The son also said that the woman has trouble seeing blended colors, and that he wishes workers put cones or a sign to alert passersby to the open doors.
The Plainfield Fire Division rescued the woman from the hole and rushed her to an area hospital.
The access doors were open because crews were repairing gas lines in the area.

PENSACOLA, FL —- Author- ities arrested an ex-convict from Alabama on Thursday on charges relating to the kidnap- ping, killing and disposing of the body of a 12-year-old girl in Florida.
According to CBS News, Es- cambia County Sheriff David Morgan announced that 38- year-old Robert Letroy Howard had been detained in relation to the case. Morgan noted that Howard “fre- quented” the apartment of his girlfriend which is in the same complex where 12-year-old Naomi Jones lived with her family. Naomi went missing May 31, prompting a desperate search.
Fishermen found her body Monday, June 5th.
Investigators came into con- tact with Howard while they were canvassing the area after Naomi was reported missing,
the news station notes. Mor- gan accused Howard of giv- ing police “false information” that he was in Alabama when Naomi went missing.
Surveillance footage was his undoing, apparently showing him by the creek where Naomi’s body was found, Morgan added. Investigators put him under surveillance and took him into custody shortly after.
Howard has a criminal record in Alabama, where he was convicted in 1999 on two counts of sexual assault and rape and served 15 years in prison.
His first court appearance is scheduled for Friday, and As- sistant State Attorney Greg Marcille said that his office will be seeking no bond. Howard is currently being held on a $600,000 bond.
Neil White, the husband of NBC Universal Inc. execu- tive Michelle Hord-White, was arrested and charged with the murder of their 7- year-old daughter Gabrielle, People reports.
According to the outlet, Gabrielle was found dead at the family’s Westchester home by the child’s nanny, Tonelle Mahon, who was told that she stayed home from school. Mahon told People that when she arrived at the residence the shades were shuttered and it was
dark.
After searching for
Gabrielle, the child’s father told her that she was in her room resting. She noticed that he had blood on his wrist and immediately contacted authorities and the child’s mother. The police believe Gabrielle died from asphyx- iation.
White was held without bail and pleaded not guilty. He is slated to appear in court on June 15. There is an ongo- ing investigation surrounding the incident.
