Detectives have identified and charged four individuals in connection with a statewide, organized theft ring. The four are reportedly responsible for attempting to obtain more than $125,000 in merchandise.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, they were successful in obtaining $64,263.74 in merchandise. They are also credited with using the identities of 63 peo- ple.
Police said the suspects used stolen identities, created fake identification cards with that information, and opened cell phone accounts at Wal- Mart and Sam’s Clubs throughout the state.

Edouard Fleurant was involved in 12 incidents and the theft of 28 cellular phones. He was used as a “look out” person and often was the driver.
Karla Hernandez was involved in 11 incidents and the theft of 25 cellular phones.
Carlos Milan was in- volved in 6 incidents and the theft of 22 cellular phones.

Last week, a federal judge sentenced a Tampa man to 15 years in prison. He pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.
According to court docu- ments, law enforcement exe- cuted a search warrant at the home of Lamonday Britt, 45, of Tampa, after he al- legedly sold crack cocaine on several occasions. During the execution of the search war- rant, policed discovered a loaded firearm, loose rounds of ammunition, crack cocaine, marijuana, and cash inside the home.
At the time, Britt had been convicted of a felony and is not

allowed to have firearms or ammunition. He had previ- ously been convicted of rob- bery and narcotics offenses, officials said.

Marvin Fleurant, Edouardo Fleurant, Karla Hernandez, and Carlos Milan are accused of committing 169 thefts in this fashion. The crimes occurred in 22 counties, including Hillsborough, Polk, and Pasco Counties in Central Florida.
Police said the suspects are accused of being involved in the following list of crimes:
Marvin Fleurant was involved in 77 incidents and the theft of 149 cellular phones. Detectives have iden- tified Fleurant as the leader of this scheme and he was able to fraudulently obtain the victims’ information. He opened 7 different Sam’s Club
Shooting At Convenience Store Leaves Man In Critical Condition
Police Search For Stolen Boat
A shooting Saturday night at a convenience store has left one man in critical condition. The shooting took place at the Wawa Convenience Store, 6200 34th Street, North in Pinellas Park.
According to police, Ryan Dahill, 25, of St. Petersburg, was inside the store shortly be- fore 11 p.m., being disruptive with other customers. He re- portedly exchanged words with Ernest Russ, 26, of Pinellas Park while they were inside the store.
Russ and his friends left the store and were outside waiting for their food in the parking lot. Dahill is alleged to have come outside the store
and again exchanged words with Russ.
Police determined through their investigation that Dahill caught Russ off guard and punched him in the face. Russ fell to the ground and observed Dahill standing over him.
Russ is said to have pulled his handgun and fired in Dahill’s direction. Dahill was struck once. After being shot, Dahill reportedly ran to the back of the parking lot, where his girlfriend picked him up.
He was taken to a local hos- pital, where he was admitted in critical, but stable condition.
The investigation into the shooting is continuing.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking information pertain- ing to a stolen boat. The boat is valued at $1,358.
According to police, on May 26th, at approximately 10:30 a.m., three men took a 12-foot Tracker boat; model 1236 Topper from 1025 Apollo Beach Boulevard. The boat contained a Motor Guide trolling motor, model R3/X3. 38 pound thrust with two deep cycle marine bat- ters, a five gallon marine fuel can and fishing tackle.

between the ages of 25 and 30 years of age and the third was between the ages of 45 and 50.
