Chris Paul Dismisses Frank Vogel Calling His Play Dirty: 'We're Just Playing Basketball'

Green To Blazers?
Damian Lillard may be after one of his longtime West- ern Conference rivals on the re- cruiting trail.
Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel accused Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul of a “dirty play” on Le- Bron James during Game 1 of the first-round playoff se- ries.
“I don’t know anything about that. I have absolutely nothing to say about that. We’re just playing basketball and competing,” Paul told Yahoo Sports after the Suns’ 99-90 victory to take a 1-0 se- ries lead. “I’m just thankful we got the win, and I’m look- ing forward to Game 2.”
The play in question oc- curred three minutes into the
fourth quarter when James was at the free-throw line.
Upon jumping and at- tempting to secure a rebound off his own miss, Paul sprinted from behind to box out the four-time MVP win- ner and James collapsed awkwardly to the hardwood.
James began rolling around on the court while holding onto his left shoul- der.
“My view was overly ag- gressive box out, a dangerous play where ’Bron was in the air and got uppercut,” Vogel told media members on a postgame Zoom call.
Simone Biles once again showed fans how she should be part of the GOAT (greatest of all time) argument as she made history on Saturday.
Sporting a leotard with a rhinestoned goat, Biles be- came the first woman to land a Yurchenko double pike at the U.S. Classic. The move has never been done by a female gymnast in competition.
This was the first time the five-time Olympic medalist has competed in over a year. During her last outing, Biles won her fifth all-around title
at the 2019 World Champi- onships.
Not only did she wow the crowd with her historic vault, Biles debuted her floor rou- tine choreographed by Sasha Farber, her former Dancing with the Stars partner. He vis- ited her in April to help "clean up" the choreography, which was set to techno music.
Due to the level of diffi- culty, Biles received a solid 14.250. The routine featured some of her signature skills: a triple-twisting double backflip and a double layout half.
Draymond Green’s
Golden State
Warriors were eliminated on Friday with a loss in the play-in tournament to the Memphis Grizzlies. After the game, the Portland Trail Blazers star Lil- lard retweeted a post that read, “Keep tripping on Draymond, he’ll be in a Blazers jersey on y’all a–.”
The retweet is still clearly visible on Lillard’s Twitter page.
The former Defensive Player of the Year Green can- not become a free agent until 2023, so the Blazers would have to trade for him if they want Green any time in the near future.
Dominique Wilkins Says He Was Turned Away From Atlanta Restaurant
DOMINIQUE WILKINS
The Pro Basketball Hall of Famer tweeted Buckhead restaurant La Bibloquet turned him away due to racism.
“In my many years in the world, I’ve eaten at some of the greatest restaurants in the world,” Dominique Wilkins tweeted, “but never have i felt prejudice or been turned away because of the color of my skin, until today in #atlanta in @LeBilboquetAtl #turned- awaybecauseimblack.”
Wilkins didn’t back down from his claim after the post received thousands of retweets and likes. In response to skep- tical fans questioning the va- lidity of the Hall of Famers’ claim, he explained restaurant employees first told him there were no tables available.
He then said the employees told him his attire wasn’t ap- propriate for the venue.

Stephen Jackson Appears To Threaten Kwame Brown In Instagram Post
STEPHEN JACKSON AND KWAME BROWN
Stephen Jackson and Kwame Brown have been going at it via social media and podcasts this week, and Jack- son is ready to have a face-to- face discussion with Brown about it.
Well, maybe even more than a discussion.
In a YouTube video he published earlier this week, Brown blasted Jackson, Matt Barnes and Gilbert Arenas for some comments the three former NBA players made about Brown on the “All the Smoke” podcast. Are-
nas, who was teammates with Brown with the Washington Wizards, described Brown as a “show pony” who had his confidence destroyed by Michael Jordan.
Brown fired back by call- ing Barnes “Becky with the good hair.” He told Jackson to put down his blunt and “act like a grown a– man instead of a little boy.” He then accused Arenas of taking money from him via their contracts. Brown later called Jackson a “fake Black Lives Matter ac- tivist.”
