Eddie Murphy, Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish To Attend Paul Mooney Laugh Factory Tribute
Luther Movie Begins
Paul Mooney made the Laugh Factory in Hollywood practically his second home ... so it's only fitting to have a trib- ute there ... and comedy roy- alty's expected to attend.
Jamie Masada, the owner and founder of the iconic com- edy club, tells reporters... a spe- cial show will go down in honor of Mooney Thursday. Eddie Murphy, Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish are among the many who have reached out to say they will attend.
Paul's twin sons -- comedi- ans Dwayne and Daryl -- will also be there ... with the list of special guests expected only to grow.
Paul was a regular at the famed Hollywood location. In fact ... Jamie tells us he still re- members Paul being one of the very first comedians on opening night in 1979.
Filming This Year
Idris Elba says that the Luther movie is going into production this year. The BBC star talked to Variety about the beloved series. People have been wondering about the status of this proj- ect for years now. But, Elba had some good news to send them off into the weekend.
People continue to ask the Hobbs & Shaw actor at every turn about everyone’s trou- bled detective. BBC obvi- ously couldn’t forget about this size of a crossover hit. Doctor Who and other pro- grams can help carry the torch. But, Luther would be an immense draw on any streaming service.
