Gas Station Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured
Shortly after 7 p.m., Sunday, police responded to the 2K Ex- press, 6202 N. 40th Street in ref- erence to a double shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered two people had been injured by gunfire.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The 24-year-old woman suffered non- life threatening injuries. However, the 24-year-old man was seriously injured. He died as a result of his injuries, police said.
The investigation is continuing as detectives continue to develop leads in the case.

Man Found On Corner Dies From Injuries
Tampa Police are currently in- vestigating the death of man found on a street corner. The ini- tial calls came in as a man down on the street.
According to police, officers re- sponded to the corner of N. Grady and W. Osborne shortly before 4:30 p.m., Sunday. When they ar- rived, the officers discovered the body of an adult Hispanic man in his mid 50s. The victim suffered upper body trauma and was pro- nounced deceased at the scene.

Police Investigate First Murder Of New Year
Detectives with the Tampa Po- lice Department launched an in- vestigation that took place in the 3000 block of N. Morgan Street. This was the first murder to take place in Hillsborough County.
According to police, officers re- sponded to the location shortly before 11 a.m., Sunday, in refer- ence to a man being down. The of- ficers found an adult Black man dead at the scene. The victim, de- scribed as being in his 30s, had suffered trauma to the upper part of his body.
No additional information about the victim or the crime had been released at press time.

Man Dropped Off At Hospital Dies
Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to an apartment complex in refer- ence to a shooting. The incident took place around 10 p.m., in the Raintree Oaks Apartment Com- plex, in the 5000 block of Gibson Avenue.
The deputies located the area where the shooting had taken place and gathered evidence, but could not location the victim. A short time later, the deputies were notified that a man had been dropped off at a local hospital. The man arrived suffering from upper body trauma.
