Following an orientation and welcome, a behind
the scenes tour of the Straz Center, and a tour of the Patel Conservatory, they were treated to lunch. During lunch the students were entertained by a character artist and drumming and dancing by two African musicians.
At 2 P. M., the students settled in for the per- formance. At 5 P. M. they were transported back to
school for pick up, eager to share a most unforget- table and awe-inspiring experience. The Lions (St. Peter Claver mascot) had met “The Lion King.”
St. Peter Claver celebrated National Catholic Schools Week, January 31, 2016 – February 6, 2016. With 122 years of educating local youth, the school is the oldest parochial school in the state of Florida.
