Pistons Honor Chauncey Billups With Retirement Of No. 1 Jersey
CHAUNCEY BILLUPS & JERSEY
AUBURN HIILS, Mich. — Moments before his jersey went up to the rafters, Chauncey Billups spoke to the crowd about the night the Detroit Pistons wrapped up the 2004 NBA title by routing the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 of the Finals.
“We had one motivation,” he said. “We wanted to win it here at home.”
Billups was the most valu- able player in the Finals that year, and his No. 1 jersey was retired by the Pistons on Wednesday night at halftime of their 103-92 loss to Denver.
He was the second player from that 2004 team honored by the Pistons this year. The Pistons retired Ben Wallace’s jersey last month at a similar ceremony, in front of a packed house on a night Detroit beat Golden State.
Marshawn Lynch Hasn’t Spent Any Of The $50MIL He’s Made In The NFL
Monty Williams, Dies At 44
Marshawn Lynch knows how to save money. He’s made nearly $50 million in his NFL career, but he hasn’t spent a cent of it.
“Marshawn Lynch has a lot of money,” Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said. “He hasn’t spent a dime of his ac- tual playing money ... ever.”
Instead, Lynch has been relying on the approximately $5 million he makes per year through his endorsement deals with Nike, Pepsi, Skit- tles, Progressive, and Activi- sion.

Ingrid Williams, the wife of Oklahoma City Thunder as- sistant coach Monty Williams, is dead at age 44, the team announced Wednes- day.
Ingrid Williams was in- volved in a car accident Tues- day night in Oklahoma City when she was hit head-on by another car that crossed over the center lane. She was taken to a hospital and died Wednes- day evening from injuries suf- fered in the crash. The driver of the other car was pro- nounced dead at the scene.
“The Thunder organization has heavy hearts tonight with the news of Ingrid’s passing,” the team said in a statement. “Words cannot adequately de- scribe how deep our sorrow is for the loss of Monty’s wife. Our thoughts and prayers are

with Monty and his family, and we will support him in every way possible. We know the entire community of Okla- homa City has them in their prayers.”
Before joining the Thunder coaching staff, Monty Williams served as New Or- leans’ head coach from 2010 to 2015. He and Ingrid Williams have five children with ages ranging from 5 to 17 years old.
MARSHAWN LYNCH
Lynch has been sitting on will be a tidy nest egg when he does retire, and the rumors are that he’s on his way out. John Schneider, the Seattle Seahawks’ general manager, recently said that he under- stood that Lynch was “lean- ing toward retirement.”

Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
was out in Milan wearing the insanely expensive diamond necklace he bought back in December — while sur- rounded by his massive secu- rity team.
As we previously reported, Mayweather bought the piece on a crazy end-of-the- year jewelry shopping spree — dropping between $10 and $15 mil for the necklace and a matching diamond ring.
