Destiny Child’s Michelle Williams Stepping
Into Home Décor
Will Smith Talks About Son Wearing And Modeling Women’s Clothes
Will Smith talks about Jaden’s decision to do a womenswear modeling campaign.
Michelle Williams debuts her full line of home décor products this week.
Jaden Smith sparked a lot of conversation about gender roles and the image of mas- culinity when he decided to be a model for Louis Vuitton’s womenswear campaign. His father, Will Smith, discussed the 17-year-old’s fashion choices during an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra’s A. Dot.
“I think it may have been a mistake,” joked Will when asked about giving his kids the ability to express themselves freely. “We may have gone too far.”
Will spoke about having to handle seeing his children chastised and ridiculed for the
clothes they choose to wear. “There’s really a powerful in- ternal quality as an artist that, as parents, we encourage. You got to get out on the edge. You have to try things. You have to be comfortable doing things that people don’t agree with. And you have to be comfort- able doing things that you can fail,” Will stated. “Jaden is 100 percent fearless. He will do anything. So, as a parent, it’s scary. It’s really terrifying, but he is completely willing to live and die by his own artistic de- cisions. He just doesn’t con- cern himself with what people
think.

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Michelle Williams is stepping into the home décor field.
On February 11th and 12th, Williams will debut her full line of home décor products called “Believe by Michelle Williams” on EVINE, one of TV’s newest home shopping networks. Williams will pre- miere the line during EVINE Live’s “1st Birthday Bash.”
As it turns out, Williams has always had a passion for de- sign. She was inspired by her mother and grandmother, who made beautiful hand-made items for their family, and also her world travels as an actress and musician.
Hit Comedy Black-ish To Air Episode On Police Brutality Of Teen
There won’t be as many laughs as usual on the Febru- ary 24th episode of “Blackish.”
The ABC sitcom will tackle the issue of police brutality in the Black community, a sub- ject usually reserved for the news or dramas.
“Unfortunately the things that we are dealing with in this episode are not new, especially to the black and brown com- munity,” “Blackish” star An- thony Anderson told Variety, which first reported the news.
Titled “Hope,” the episode will focus on the reaction of the Johnson family to a fic- tional incident involving an as- sault on a Black teen that’s broadcast on the news.
Executive producer Kenya Barris told the industry trade that he was inspired to write the episode based on his own real-life attempts to talk to his children about issues about the recent spate of police-in- volved deaths.
