Nominee Has Tampa Connection:
2 Held On $1 Million Bond For ID Theft After Traffic Stop
Drummer/Singer Is Nominee For Monday Night’s Grammy Awards
Two people were taken into custody and placed under a bond of more than $1 million on Thursday. They were both charged with 1,280 felony counts of fraudulent use of an- other person’s per- sonal information and possession of credit card making equipment.

after the driver failed
to observe the move over law. The trooper discov- ered the vehicle was rented and without the authorized driver operating it.

A nominee for Monday night’s 58th Annual Grammy Awards has a connection to Tampa. His wife, Adrienne is a Tampa native and his mother-in-law, Carol Jar- rett, is a Tampa native, along with other family members.
Jamison Ross is a nom- inee in the category of Best Jazz Vocal Album.
In 2012, Ross won the Thelonious Monk Interna- tional Jazz Competition. More than three years later, the jazz musician not only plays the drums, but he also is a gifted composer, band- leader and a singer.
Jamison, his 2015 debut CD, has 12 tracks and he sings on 10 of them. Ross says when he won the Jazz competition in 2012, no one knew that he could sing. He began singing in his grandfa- ther’s church while growing up in Jacksonville, FL, the 28-year-old New Orleans
resident explains in his bio. Ross says it was his mother, Renee Ross, who encouraged him to strengthen his musical gift with formal training. He studied drums in elementary and high school and went on to develop a higher level of understanding at Florida State University, where he received a B. A. in Jazz Stud- ies. After relocating to New Orleans, Ross earned a Master’s degree in Jazz Stud-
ies.
Friday and Saturday,
Ross was on tour in Bul- garia and Austria. The tour resumes on Wednesday, February 17th in the Nether- lands.
Currently, Mrs. Jarrett and her sister, Patricia Cooper are in New Orleans to take care of the couple’s 20-month-old daughter while the couple travels to Los Angeles for the Gram- mys tonight.
