Trevor Dooley, 79, was granted a new trial date when he went to court last Monday (Feb. 3rd). The new trial is set to begin on Monday, July 13, 2020, before Judge Michael Williams.
Dooley had been found guilty of manslaughter and spent about a year in prison of an 8-year prison sentence, before being freed on appeal.
The 2nd District Court of Appeal overturned Dooley’s manslaughter conviction 9 months ago, which led to the new trial.
It was in September 26, 2010, when Dooley became involved in an altercation with a neighbor in their Val- rico neighborhood. The alter- cation with David James,

A 19-year-old man is fac- ing several charges after being involved in a deadly hit and run accident. The accident took place January 18th, bear 9th Avenue, South and 40th Street, South in St. Peters- burg.
According to the St. Pe- tersburg Police Department, around 10:15 a.m., 2018 silver sedan, driven by Ms. Saniya Daxon, was traveling west- bound. As she approached the intersection, a stolen Mer- cedes ran a stop sign and crashed into vehicle.
Ms. Daxon was trans- ported to a local hospital, but died later. The passenger in the stolen Mercedes was also transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot. On Fri- day, police said they had iden- tified and arrested the man who was driving the stolen Mercedes.
He has been identified as Keshawn Long, of St. Pe- tersburg. Long has been charged with vehicular homi- cide, leaving the scene of a crash involving injury, leaving the scene of an accident in- volving death, operating a ve- hicle without a license causing death, and auto theft.
Four Tampa residents were arrested in Prince George, Virginia last week. They are accused of robbing a business in Chesterfield, Vir- ginia, and leading police on a chase, which spanned nearly 50 miles.
The four were identified as: Ms. Earnisha Williams, 25; Ms. Tonae Crawford, 26; Ms. Raven Wimbush, 29; and 27-year- old Alonzo Jones, Jr.
According to police, seven people entered the Ulta on Midlothian Turnpike around 8 p. m. Once inside, they sus- pects reportedly filled bags with merchandise and fled the scene.
Once outside, they left in two separate vehicles, a silver Ford truck and a black Jeep. Both vehicles had the license plate covered. Later, Chester- field police observed the truck. The officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver
fled. A pursuit began that spanned nearly 50 miles, ending in Prince George. The chase ended after a State Trooper hit the truck on In- terstate 95. All four received minor injuries.
They were taken to a local hospital, where they were medically cleared. They are facing the following charges: Ms. Williams was charged with grand larceny, conspir- acy to commit a felony, elud- ing, reckless driving and driving without a license.
Ms. Crawford was charged with grand larceny, conspiracy to commit a felony and giving a false ID to law enforcement.
Ms. Wimbush was charged with grand larceny, conspiracy to commit a felony and giving a false ID to law enforcement.
Jones was charged with grand larceny and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Two Teens Killed, 1 Injured In Traffic Accident

Two St. Petersburg teenagers were killed and an- other injured in a traffic acci- dent. The accident took place shortly before 6:30 a.m., Sat- urday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ms. Eri- nasha Jones, 18, was driv- ing a 2003 Toyota Camry northbound on I-275. Keeoshia Edwards, 17, and 16-year-old Jiana Minaya were passengers in the vehi- cle.
Ms. Jones reportedly at- tempted to change lanes as she approached the 22nd Av- enue, North exit. She is said to have crossed into the path of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado,

Ernesto Leon. Juan Al- varez, 33, was his passenger. The men were not injured.
On impact, the vehicle ro- tated and went off the shoul- der of the exit ramp. It crashed into two trees before coming to a stop.
As a result of the accident, Ms. Jones was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Both Ms. Ed- wards and Ms. Minaya died at the hospital as a result of their injuries.
The investigator said alco- hol was a factor in the acci- dent. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
