Jalen Rose Files For Divorce From ESPN’s Molly Qerim
Kiesha Nix Becomes First
After three years of marriage, Jalen Rose and his wife, ESPN’s First Take host Molly Qerim, are reportedly calling it quits, TMZ reports.
Rose filed for divorce back in April, claiming that the couple’s marriage broke down after Qerim moved to Connecticut. The former NBA player, who’s now co-host of ESPN’s popular podcast and afternoon TV show, Jalen & Jacoby, confirmed the news on Wednesday via his In- stagram Story.
“After being separated for al- most a year, Molly and I have officially decided to go our sep- arate ways,” he wrote. “We both agree remaining friends and col- leagues is the best course of ac- tion for our relationship moving forward. Please respect our pri- vacy at this time.”
Qerim has not yet addressed the news, though she has re- moved Rose’s name from her

There's a power shift going on in the DC universe. Where once Superman was the most power- ful being, now comes another: Black Adam.
Dwayne Johnson will soon be bringing the anti-hero to the big screen, and Total Film sat down with the actor for the new issue of the magazine to talk about bringing Black Adam to life. Johnson reveals that the team behind the movie knew ex- actly what they wanted to do with the character – and were also acutely aware of what they didn't want to do, too.
"You get one shot out of the gates to build these characters properly," says Johnson. "We

paid attention to some of the pitfalls that other films had ex- perienced in the past, in the
world of DC, and what, right- fully, got a lot of fans unhappy and pissed – and, as a fan, I was one of them.
"So, let’s make sure we re- spect tradition and mythology, but let’s not be handcuffed cre- atively. We can do anything if we keep the audience first. So to me, there’s a battle that’s going to go down one day, between Black Adam and Superman. I don’t know who that Superman is going to be, and I don’t know who’s going to play him. That’s OK. I don’t need to know right now. But I’m confident in know- ing that [laughs]. And that’s based out of what fans want. We worked backwards from there."
social media accounts.
TMZ notes that Jalen is not
asking for alimony, and that the couple did not sign a prenup. Additionally, Molly does not want any spousal support.
The news arrives five years after Rose and Qerim went
public with their relationship, and just over three years after they tied the knot in July 2018 in a small ceremony in New York City. Back in April, prior to Rose filing for divorce, the cou- ple was featured in a Gatorade commercial.

While racial and gender diver- sity in sports leadership remains stagnant, several individuals are using their career paths to chal- lenge the status quo and change the narrative, including Kiesha Nix. According to Sports Illus- trated, she was appointed to serve as vice president of charitable af- fairs for the Los Angeles Lakers franchise.
The appointment is historic as it marks the first time a Black woman has held a vice president role in the organization’s history. Although her career path wasn’t traditionally in the social impact space, Nix had developed oppor- tunities that would allow her to work on projects designed to drive change. While serving in roles at Merrill Lynch and Bank of Amer- ica, she would organize commu- nity events.

philanthropy can be intercon- nected. Through volunteerism, Nix also supported Bank of Amer- ica’s charitable arm, often leading fundraising efforts and spear- heading events. After transition- ing into the bank’s community relations department, she fostered philanthropic partnerships with USC, the Dodgers and other insti- tutions, ultimately leading her to land a role within the Lakers foun- dation.

Snoop Dogg Fan Pays $450K To Become His Metaverse Neighbor
Snoop Dogg is one of the lat- est rappers to join the meta- verse, and even in this burgeoning virtual reality, peo- ple have to pay the cost to be near the boss.
Joining heavy hitters such as Adidas, Atari and deadmau5, Tha Doggfather has been de- veloping his own interactive world in The Sandbox, an Ethereum-based platform for creating and monetizing online hangout spaces and gaming ex- periences.

avatars and souped-up cars, the Snoopverse gives people the chance to buy virtual land. The first round of real estate — fea- turing 122 plots of lands, 67 plots of premium land and 3 es- tates — went on sale last week, and there was one hotspot that got snapped up for a hefty fee.
According to Rolling Stone, one NFT collector spent $450,000 on a virtual plot of land in the Snoopverse on Fri- day (December 3). While that might sound like an inordinate sum of money for virtual land, Snoopverse land owners can ac- tually build on their plots and profit off other residents who visit.
