HARRISONBURG, VA - A former Stuarts Draft man who did missionary work in Haiti for years is accused of molesting nearly two dozen young boys in that country and trying to groom others for future sex acts, according to federal court records.
James Daniel Arbaugh,

Court records show that Arbaugh, 40, was charged with felony coercion or entice- ment of a minor. \
Arbaugh attended Moun- tain View Mennonite Church in Lyndhurst, Virginia, a for- mer Mennonite Church USA congregation, and was a board member for Walking Together for Christ Haiti.
The criminal complaint, filed with the U.S. District

Teen Killed By Aunt’s Boyfriend After Argument Over Their Affair
WATERBURY, CT —-A 27- year-old Connecticut man has been charged with what author- ities say was the "vicious mur- der" of Evalyce Santiago, 16.
The teen was found dead in- side a vehicle after a crash in Waterbury last Monday night, People reports.
Dominique Pittman was arrested after police discovered that the teen had been shot twice in the head and once in the hand.
Pittman initially told police that Santiago had been shot by a third person who ran away after the crash, but he later ad- mitted he'd been alone in the car with her, reports the Hart- ford Courant.
He claimed that she re-

moved his gun from the car's center console during an argu- ment and she was shot as they both struggled for the weapon.
Police say Pittman, who re-
ceived minor injuries in the crash, told them he'd been in a sexual relationship with the teen—and she had threatened to tell his girlfriend of six years about it.
Santiago's relatives say they had no idea the teen was involved with Pittman, who fathered three children with the girl's aunt.
"That's when we all realize the tragedy. It was under our noses and we didn't see it," Santiago's grandfather tells NBC Connecticut.
Pittman is being held on $3 million bail on a murder charge and weapons violations. A men- tal health evaluation was or- dered after he appeared in court Wednesday.
Federal Judge Sentences Former S.C. Officer To 20 Years For Shooting Unarmed Black Man
CHARLESTON, S.C. — For- mer police officer Michael Slager has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for murder- ing unarmed black motorist Walter Scott in North Charleston, South Carolina, in 2015.
Video footage shows Scott was unarmed and running away from Officer Slager when Slager opened fire, shooting Scott eight times in the back, killing him.
Slager was sentenced Thursday after a four-day hearing in which a federal judge rejected his self-defense claim, ruling that he had com- mitted murder by shooting at Scott eight times as the black motorist ran away. His charge of violating Scott's civil rights carried up to life in prison.
The former lawman's plea agreement barred him from appealing his conviction, but his punishment can be ap- pealed.
Lead defense attorney Andy Savage said that deci-

But the judge's determina- tion, Savage argued, was con-
trary to Slager's state trial in which a jury rejected a murder charge and ultimately dead- locked on a lesser manslaugh- ter count, prompting a mistrial.
