      LEAD Student Winners Presentations
 Airing On Cable Networks
The presentations were initially made at the Hillsborough County Branch NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner
In celebration of Black His- tory Month, the LEAD (Lead, Empower, Advocate, and Dream) contest challenged students to create an artistic interpretation expressing how he or she has been inspired by a local black leader. The 11 winners from the original 347 submissions were celebrated at the 100th celebration of the Hillsborough County Branch NAACP.
The Freedom Fund Dinner was held at Hilton Tampa Downtown hotel that con- sisted of a dinner and an award ceremony celebrating members of the NAACP and also honoring the Hillsbor- ough County Public Schools (HCPS), LEAD Student recipi- ents.
Tampa Bay Arts Educa- tion (TBAE) Network will be replaying the ceremony on Spectrum 635 and on Frontier FiOS 32.
The ceremony will replay on Saturday, March 17th at 11 A. M. and 5 P. M.; Saturday, March 24th at 9 A. M. and 8 P. M.; and Saturday, March 31st at 8 A. M. and 5 P. M.
MS. PRUDENCE PERKINS
In February, Ms. Prudence Perkins, a matriarch of Plant City, crossed another birthday milestone!
She was celebrated with a love feast hosted by her 3 children and fellowshipped surrounded by her family and close friends. Prudence is the daughter of the late Henry Raines, Jr.
and Mollie (Fortham) Raines. She is the 3rd oldest of 12 sib- lings; 3 of which are deceased. She is also the proud grand- mother of 3 grandkids, 5 great-grands and 3 great-great grands!
We love you Pru! Keep smiling, keep shining! Love always, the family.
 PARIS
The Spotlight feature this week is the lovely and unforgettable Paris. Priding herself on being unique, Paris is prepared to handle any challenge that lies ahead for her. Full of energy and ambition Paris knows she won’t stop until she’s reached her goals. Paris enjoys spending time with family and friends, and although she’s driven, she also knows when to just chill out and relax. Congratulations to Paris as this week’s Spotlight feature.

Congratulations to my husband, Greg Jackson, on being selected the 2nd time in two years as “Employee of the Month” at the HCSO Detention Dept.
He has been an employee of the Sheriff’s Office for over 21 years. His exemplary reviews speak volumes about the dedica- tion he presents to his profession.
He also received a Special ‘Letter of Congratulations’ from
Sheriff Chad Chronister.
We are very proud of him. Again congratulations! Love, Harriette, Tyler, Crystal and family.
